I wouldn't know how to re-sync without getting all of the music back on to my PC first.

I did try reinstalling. I don't see anything that says 'forget this device.' All I see is 'Start the Zune software when I connect a device.' At this point I'm not worried about losing music off of my PC but I don't want to lose anything off of my Zune.

I'm not sure what you mean by checking that it is correctly linked. I'm afraid to plug it in as long as I can't find a manual sync option. I'll probably just end up buying a new one.

It says that I have version 3.1.620.0 so I'm not sure why I still don't see a manual sync option.

I downloaded the software from this site. It said that it was version 3.0. I then checked for an update but it said that my software is already up to date. I still can't find a manual sync option.

No. I don't see that. I used the disc that came with my Zune 30 to install the program. How would I get an upgrade? I see a Device Update option but it says that I need to connect my Zune to get it.

The only thing I see listed by sync options is device options. Underneath that is a check box with the option, "Start the Zune software when I connect a device." Should I leave this box checked or not?

I just got my computer back from Best Buy. I guess they did what they could to restore everything but it's not sufficient and a lot of stuff is missing. I had to reinstall the Zune program but the library is not the same as it was before my computer crashed. So my question is, would it be safe to plug my Zune in? Would that cause music to be ...
