Where exactly are you trying to delete it? On your device or collection? or both?  What directions are you following?

I bought it for the size, color, engraving (8GB red) and the social.  I still use my 30GB Creative Zen Vision M for books and shows but I like the little Zune for everyday use and when exercising

Did you just upgrade your Zune?  I had this issue after I did that and it was a DRM issue.  I had to contact the Zune help line and asked to be transferred to the next tier and they instructed me in how to reset the DRM.  I was able to connect after that.
