Good catch - but post this in the Marketplace: Music Content forum instead, it will receive more attention there:http://forums.zune.net/71/ShowForum.aspx

Even if the external drive has failed / the drive is inaccessible, Ice Cube SW's suggestion of putting all songs into a playlist should still be able to work.  As long as you have the main Zune Audio folder set to use a different drive.Your media should still be listed in the Zune Software, because links to the media are still contained in a ...

That thread deserved much more attention, but somehow it got overlooked by many.  I will be adding it to my song linking guidelines soon.

A really fun song to play is "Disco" by The Music.  Mainly because of the tempo variations that come mid-way.  It's a 6+ minute song too, allowing for a huge amount of points to be scored.  (Got a Gold medal + 800 unlock points in normal mode!)That popular song "Whatcha Say" by Jason Derulo plays a bit slow, but ...

The blocks seem to sync up well with more guitar-driven rock music.  Try playing "1901" by Phoenix.  In my personal experience, that song seems to chart very well.

Good suggestion.  The free music offerings in Zune Marketplace are mostly temporary - they change from week to week.  So I agree with you, it would be beneficial having a page that listed all current free or "special offer" Marketplace songs.

So when people receive a song via Zune message, how does it work? Does it arrive as a URL? An attachment? Is it just a thirty second preview or can they hear it fully three times before purchasing it like it was? It arrives in that member's Zune account inbox, as a message with an attached track listing / album ...

In the "Social" tab of your Software, view the "Friends" section.  Here you can right-click on a card and choose "Never Sync with (Zune Name)", and the next time your Zune syncs with the PC, it should free up the space previously used for storing those Zune cards. As an alternate way:  Manage synced Friends ...

Since David's departure from the content team, I'm just wondering whose inherited responsibility it is now to respond to music content issues in this forum?I'm only concerned because I haven't exactly seen anyone official from Zune policing this forum for a few weeks now.  There are certainly a lot of requests building up, such as content ...

When the download fails like that, you should be able to click the "Download" button in the Marketplace once more, but this time when it brings up the confirm dialog, it should say "Restore" instead of use credit.  This allows you to re-download the previously purchased/downloaded song without using another credit.  =)

Over the past 2 months I have noticed a similar trend.  It seems to pick related music from only your #1 most listened to artist, and nothing else.Since my #1 top artist is The Music, I'm constantly getting recommendations for The Libertines, Hot Hot Heat, The Coral, and similar brit-pop revival bands over and over again.  It never ...

The problem seems to be fixed now. :)  Thanks for looking into it though.  I should have taken a screencap.  I'm using Firefox 3.5.5 with Win 7.Someone please tell me they did notice this when it was happening, so I know I'm not going crazy. :)

Try resetting your device completely (clearing all firmware and content) by following the instructions on this page.  If you own an older Zune device (30/4/8/16/80/120), look under the header that says "Formatting and reinitializing your Zune30/4/8/16/80/120 Devices", and use the Initialize Disk method for whichever device you ...

Recently I noticed certain special characters such as é, ö, and ň are no longer appearing on the website correctly.  They are all replaced by seemingly random ones, such as the letter T, N, or ± and ÷ symbols.  It looks like something was changed with the character set being used. This seems to happen for artist ...

Wow.  Let me just start off by saying, you are amazing for developing this. =)I just tested this out with an album that was not linkable via Find Album Info (Stereo MC's - Double Bubble), but present in the Zune Marketplace, and this WORKS.  I also tested with about 5 single songs that previously couldn't link, and it fixed those as ...

You are limited to 100 friends.  Any pending invitations (ones which members have not yet responded to) count towards your 100 limit.  So either cancel some of your current invites to free up slots, or simply wait for the remaining 27 to approve you as a friend.

If I edit my clips, store them on the Zune and then retrieve them to mix together in the final version, do they appear in a lower resolution?Yes, for both of those questions.  It specifically encodes / compresses the file for use on your Zune device.
