re: WMV Won't sync?

WMV works fine in WMC and the Zune software.&#160; The conversion happens because if you have a video that's 1gig in file size, but encoded to the a large resolution the Zune software will convert it down to the devices resolution in order to save room on the device.&#160; You can adjust how and when the conversion happens by going into Settings ...

Hi tortured life, How long did you wait after seeing the converting message?&#160; BTW, you won't see the converted video's in your collection...they are in your temp directory and only used for sync'ing to your device.&#160; Converting can take a long time depending on how large the original WMV is and what resolution it was encoded at.

Hi roguetexan, This sounds like either your video or audio driver is causing issue's (it's usually some kind of hardware issue when everything just freezes).&#160; Please make sure you have the most current drivers for your video and audio cards.

Nope...it only shows up if you are running with a debugger.&#160; Do you have something unusual in one of your serial / usb ports that shows up as a debugger? Are you running with the /debug option when launching windows?

Hi RDSIAM, If you've unchecked the &quot;Automatically update album art and metadata.&quot; option there's nothing the Zune software could be doing to add album art.&#160; Do you use other media software as well, like Windows Media Player?
