Well I think what most of us are saying is that Microsoft dropped the ball on that they promised us real, official, backed, out-of-alpha/beta/gamma/testing games by June 2008 and it never happened.Microsoft never made that promise. The release date for XNA GS 3.0 was, and always has been, "Holiday 2008". And even so, ...

no one knows. right now you can download a bunch from zuneboards, but thats about it unless you want to pay to sign up for xna i think. You don't have to pay anything for the Zune stuff no matter where you find the game download.Zune games should be "officially" released for the Zune by the end of the year. This is just ...

If your system does not have the font, you will have to purchase a license for it or the software required. For instance, a few games use Calibri and Segou. Those are only available if you have purchased Windows Vista or Microsoft Office 2007. The easiest thing to do, though, is just change the font the game uses. Open up the .spritefont files in ...

I wrote up some instructions that should get you going: http://nick.gravelyn.com/2008/05/10/putting-games-on-your-zune/.
Remember that this is all still pre-beta stuff and very much developer
oriented, so that's why you must download and install developer tools
to put these games on your Zune. But if you're alright with all of
that, enjoy! :)

ya, according to MS, the "official" deadline is sometime in late 2008You have misinterpreted something here. The final ...

So you aren't allowed to have a printed piece of paper, but they're going to let you play with your Zune while taking a test? I wasn't even allowed to have graphing calculators when I took chemistry tests.Schools today... :)

I mean no offense here, but what happened to paper? When I was in high school (just a few years ago) we had a printed piece of paper with the periodic table. Why would you want to cram it onto a tiny screen like that and then waste your battery using it. Just hit up Google Images, find a decent looking copy of the table, and print it out. Takes ...

The whole point of XNA GS was to enable programmers to make their own games. It was never the goal that Microsoft would start churning out games. Not to say they definitely won't at some point in the future, but that is not what this is all about. Also keep in mind that XNA GS 3.0 is still in CTP (community technical preview) state meaning it ...

I think he already knows that. He said he didn't want to go through all those steps to get games at this point. I don't blame him. I know if I wasn't a developer, I certainly wouldn't want to install over 700MB of developer tools onto my machine just to play a bunch of Zune games. But unfortunately that's just how it is for now.

Not for a long time I'm guessing. Remember that XNA Game Studio 3.0 for the Zune is still in CTP (community technical preview) state. The actual release of 3.0 isn't until the end of this year. At that time we'll see whether or not they follow the path taken with the Xbox 360 (meaning you'll still need developer tools to deploy to the Zune) or if ...

Well I don't for for 100%, but I would assume there is no physical limitation that prevents internet usage. I would assume they used a fairly standard 801.x (I don't know what letter goes there for the Zune) chip. I'm guessing they simply haven't bothered making the device internet aware because there really is no point. But yeah, this is all my ...

Mine is the only Scrambled Albums out there. So the one you have is likely the exact same as this one. It might be one of the older versions, though. I released three versions as I fixed bugs and added things.

Repeater is my third Zune game and is a fun little Simon clone. It's a simple little game, but very fun when you just want to kill some time.More details plus a screenshot and download link here: http://nick.gravelyn.com/2008/06/18/repeater/.

This was my second Zune game. It's a basic sliding tile puzzle game where the puzzles were created using YOUR album art making it that much more fun. It utilized the ZBlade UI library for a nice media player as well making it easy to choose what music you want to listen to.Check it out and download it here: ...

Just wanted to make a few posts here for some of my Zune games in case some of you haven't found them. First up: Alien Aggressors!Alien Aggressors is a fun little clone of Space Invaders and was one of the first two games out for Zune back when the XNA 3.0 CTP first came out. You can read all the fun details, see a screenshot, and download Alien ...

The issue isn't the XNA framework; it's the Zune firmware. The device simply has no means by which it can connect to the internet. So it doesn't matter whether or not the XNA team wants to let you access the internet, the Zune itself cannot.
