Yeah. It shouldn't hurt anything leaving the cable laying around while the USB end is plugged into your PC. I don't think it will hurt to leave it on charge either. When mine isn't in use, I leave it connected for days at a time. There may be some long term ramification, but not one i've seen yet :)

It sounds to me like your connector is wearing out. I am not sure there is anything you can do about it either.  (if that is the case) One of the problems with electronics that you plug in and out dozens of times a day/week/etc, is that the connectors just "wear out". It really depends on the type device, but I have seen this on one ...

Do you have any family back in the US? You could get them to buy and mail. I don't think you are going to find any retailers that will ship over there.

Well I cannot speak for Microsoft, but i can say that they know our concerns. One thing I know from running a site with 200,000 members in the forums is that most of the posts are going to point out the bad and that there are very few posts saying that a product is good. What does that matter? Simple, to an outsider that might look into a site, ...

My personal preference is the Generation 2 Car Kit. It's the most expensive of the available solutions, but in my car, it works better than the other solutions I reviewed. ( generic belkin tunable one, the DLO TransDock) The DLO one would be my second choice.

we'd have to know more about the situation to suggest. What device, what are you doing (video/audio), WiFi on or off... How long is "so quick"?

Consider Zune Pass as renting music. Similar to leasing a car... when your lease is up, you lose the car. The music will stay if you quit paying, but 30 days later, they will no longer play.

If it seems like a waste to you, you seem to already have your mind made up anyhow. How are we going to change that? But, to answer your question, you can add music that is DRM-less that you got from other places as long as they are in the proper format. (ie. MP3)

Is it possible that you have 2 different podcast folders pulling into the collection? Maybe an old itunes folder and the Zune folder?

You can keep the songs as long as you want them after you stop paying....but, they won't play anymore :)

There hasn't been any word on any addition Zune 80 colors yet. I hope to see some, but there hasn't been a hint of another yet.

It's possible I suppose, but think about this... if the Zune 4 and 8 do not even have video signals leaving on the connector, then where is circuitry inside of a cradle going to get video to process? Just a thought. I don't think it will be possible, but optimism is gold.

Well, that is correct. I doubt a cradle is going to make the hardware do something it doesn't support.
