Sennheiser HD800 Headphones

I am planning on getting the Sennheiser HD800 headphones. For those who don't know, these are the best headphones IN THE WORLD. They run a hefty sum of $1,400, though, so I was wondering: will I even notice the difference? I mean, I don't want to spend that much money and have everything feel the same to me. So will I?

External Battery

I really need to know if external batteries are the solution to my zune problem. It won't charge, the battery icon blinks maybe twice then stops, and so far, no one's been able to tell me whether or not they'll work. There's the EZGear powerstick and the Belkin TunePower for Zune.

I'm going ahead with my questions..........Hope it's alright.
I have seen tons' of accessories from 3rd party vendors to use with ipod and hardly nothing to use with Zune. Specially on the boom box and Docks dept. (Bose Sound dock comes to mind) Is there an adapter to use with Zune? Like you connect the adapter to the sound deck (ex.) and the output for Zune? Not with Aux cables but to the Zune itself?

Zune premium headphones bass

Can anyone confirm to me that the Zune premium headphones is in certain aspects technically inferior to the stock Zune headphones that ship in the old models? The reason I ask is because I bought the premium headphones, anticipating that they'll offer superior bass. Hell, the site even boasts that as a notable point. Superior bass. Well, I got these headphones and listened to music through them, and right off the bat, I realized the bass is actually inferior. At first I thought that perhaps it's because of the inserts, and it did say that the bass may be dependant on which size insert I use, but the bass was always the same. I immediately compared it to the older earbuds, and the bass was better. I really just don't get it. This is supposed to be an upgrade, and the sound is louder and clearer, but the bass is a step back. Can anyone else confirm this?

zune car pack goes off!

Hi, i'm having trouble with my zune car pack (the fm transmiter). When it's on and transmiting, it just goes off, without warning, it's just do. And several times, it's very very annoying. Anybody knows what could be the problem? really need help!

Zune 30 Leather Case vs Zune 80/120 Leather Case

I'm talking about the official Microsoft Zune Leather Case.

I just got a Zune 120. I saw on Amazon that there was both a Zune 30 and a Zune 80/120. In the details for the leather cases the size and dimensions were the same. The difference was $10-$15 so I ordered the 30 version. When I got it, it wasn't as snug in the case as I thought it would be. Is it supposed to be like this? Or is their really a size difference in the cases?

Zune Stock Headphones should be sold. Zune Premium Headphones should get updated.

I think it would be quite nice if Microsoft sold zune stock headphones without having to buy a device. They'd make money off of that, I know that for sure. At my school I know of at least a hundred kids who have zune headphones(the stock ones) without having a zune. They all love them immensely. Yes they're not the best in the world, but they're better quality than the iPod headphones, on that note I'd like to address the discontinuance of Zune Premium Headphones. I think that they shouldn't discontinue them, but instead refresh them and add the option of comply foam tips included in the package, I mean the ones with the wax guards, not the ones without the wax guards. I had the ones without the waxguards and loved the idea but thought that adding a wax guard in those style of headphones is essential. Zune HD AV Dock

I just hooked up my Zune HD AV Dock today and was surprised to see an optical output! The optical out works great. I then connected and HDMI cable and the audio output via optical stopped. I'm guessing once HDMI is connected, all audio and video is routed through HDMI. Is there a way to have video (or video and audio) out through HDMI and audio out through optical at the same time? I'd rather not listen to my TV speakers when I have a surround setup.

The way my 360 is hooked up, I get audio and video out to the TV via HDMI so I just turn down TV audio. Then I run optical out to my receiver and use that for the audio. Is there a setting or patch to get this same behavior on the Zune HD AV Dock?

Did I order the wrong thing?

I popped the little thing on the side on my sync cable pulling it out of a bag and the other one is in my dock. I purchased these and I'm not getting anything synced! I thought I was ordering Zune brands until they came in. I guess I didn't read close enough. Were they *supposed* to sync? Seems like the reviews are mixed. (which I didn't read! but then I just heard on a report some of those can be fake!) Anyway I thought I'd check to see if it was buyer error or bad product! I wasn't out very much...maybe that should have told me. But since I have seems like an antique Zune, I figured they were trying to move that stuff out to make room for the new!

I bought the zune hd last week and the zune dock v2.

i wanna watch some of my media on my tv ( i dont own a hd tv) so i use the Yellow white n red cables and i manage to see the zune screen on my tv but how do i navigate to find my media? it says "TOUCH SCREEN TO DISABLE TV OUT"

I'm a little worried that this violates some form of TOS, but I figured I'd share anyway, as I'm not trying to advertise so much as just show people that there are lots of cases out there.(Because I know how hard it was to find this one.)

I just recently bought an Incipio Zune HD silicone case, in black, and it's amazing if there are people out there looking for a silicone case that doesn't have that funky headphone holder on the back.

It's got great access to the headphone jack, and charger areas. I was originally worried that it would obstruct all of the buttons, but it's actually really great. It came with a stand for watching videos as well. It comes in a variety of different colours, some of which hurt to look at, but it doesn't have a screen protector built-in...but I just bought some Ghost Armor anyway, and it works great.

Wow. Nothing but static when trying to listen to music. The auto-search is terrible on the unit. My old ipod car adapter, A griffen, could play music without any static at all, and costed 1/2 of what this accessory for the Zune HD costs. Might end up taking it back to Best Buy. I literally have to hold the ZUNE HD, up in the middle of the car, to get crystal clear sound. Anywhere near the stereo deck or on the dash in the car, just terrible.

Anyone else have issues with this? Shame MS charges $80 for this thing.

I've got a Zune HD, and bought the Car Pack v2 for it about 2 weeks ago. It was working great until this morning, where I found it no longer transmits FM. It still charges my ZHD, and the ZHD plays through headphones and stuff just fine; just not working on the Car Pack. I see that other users have run into this, too.

I'm trying to find somewhere online here where I can call MS and report the problem, but every tech support link seems to be an endless black hole that just takes me in circles, or to product pages that don't even have the Zune listed. How the heck do you get in touch with them? Having problems with a product is one thing; being unable to find a simple "contact us here" is incredibly frustrating.

If anyone has any numbers or email addresses, I'd really appreciate it. I'm at work, so I don't have any literature in front of me that I can look through to try to find a number, and I'm stuck using the black hole of a website.

I know there's plenty of docks out there but it would be awesome if we could get one that was something dedicated to the Zune HD. Ya know? Like one with a remote control and speakers and the whole deal. I figure since we're competing with iPods we better start accessorizing. Hey guys, I noticed that the Zune HD has a car accessories package but I was wondering if there is an all in one accessory that is a charger/fm transmitter and also a docking station for the Zune HD. I noticed that theres tons of these accessories available for the itouch at Best Buy but nothing for the Zune HD. Are there any in production coming out soon. Thanks

Recently my zune 80GB stopped playing any music on my altec lansing dock im414. Ive reset my zune, restarted the dock, plugged it in and out various times and nothing seems to get it to play. ( yes it is set to ZUNE) The radio and speakers are working fine but i just cannot get my zune to play anything!

Ok Ive had my zune for a year and a month, and its been great for all of that time. Recently though Ive gone through 4 pairs of headphones, at first I thought it was because they were getting worn and being cheap, but just tonight I bought a pair of sony headphones, really nice too, and I tested them out and they still only played ont the right earphone. If I press down a little on the male jack, they both come on. Is there a problem with the female jack and can I send in my zune to be repair for it?

After receiving my Zune HD I immediately noticed the notches cut into it's sides. My first thought was, "wow, if somebody built a suction-cup-based mount which snapped into those notches, you could have a very lightweight, slim dock for a car that would hold the Zune HD like glue." Has anyone out there heard of rumors surrounding a windshield mount for the Zune HD? I've got a tension-based unit for my old Axim, but it's big and fat and ugly. The Zune HD would be dwarfed by it and it's totally overkill for the job. Let me know if there's anything out there and I'll pre-order it as soon as it hits the manufacturer/distributor's website!

I have been reading about these two accessories here in the forums and online and was able to get a chance to check both out in person. I posted my review on ZDNet that I hope covers both in some detail. I specifically talked about the three methods of connecting and using the Premium Car Pack with my new Zune HD and think that should answer several questions I have seen here about connectivity and functionality.

Zune case idea

I'd like to see a zune hd case that has clear plastic or somesuch in the back, to show off the Originals art/inscriptions. It's such a shame to protect it but hide the Originals engravings.
