Music isn't deleting from software

I need major help, we have recently upgraded to Windows 7, just yesterday. My music worked fine yesterday, I knew that I was gonna re download everything because backing up was taking too long. So I went to download all my music again but most albums only downloaded one or two songs, and I can't download the music again? So I tried to delete everything off Zune and start all over, but I can't find a way to delete my music?

I don't know how to solve this, any help would be appreciated.

I just want to know how to start new on my zune and re download everything from scratch.

Marketplace claims "explicit", however, after listening all Fame Monster [the new songs] is edited.

I'm looking for the regular, "explicit", version of this album, and cannot seem to find it on Zune Marketplace.

Although the album Fame Monster is labeled "explicit", only the second half of the album [The Fame] is in it's original form, while the first half is edited.

Channel says I'm subscribed but I'm not

Ok i have a frustrating problem...

Recently I had to delete all the Channels I was subscribed too, because for some reason they started to appear in the Channel section and the "Playlist" section of my player and the software...However when I went to resubscribe to them All but one resubscribed properly... the one holdout shows I'm still subscribed to it, when i'm actually not...

I've tried rebooting, formatting the device...nothing works...how do I make the Channels register properly as not being subscribed to?

I keep getting the following error when I try to listen to music from the marketplace. How can I fix this?

"Can't play. The server name might be wrong, the server might be unavailable, or your proxy settings might be incorrect. Error Code C00D11989(C00D0006). Can someone help me with this.

Different version of She Wolf syncs as unknown

I just bought She Wolf by Shakira from Target (with the brown cover instead of the blue) and it syncs as "unknown" for all 16 tracks (this includes the bonus tracks) and splits it into 3 different unknown albums. I know I can combine them, but will the social be updated so that Zune will recognize this version, bring up the songs titles and album cover and then add the counts to her totals or will I need to buy the other version without the bonus tracks for Zune to recognize it? Thanks.

Update: I just bought the regular US version of this with the blue cover from a different store that has all the same tracks (it appears that the only difference than the one from above was that that one came with a dvd too) and I'm having the same problem...unknown tracks and album. Also, a few days ago the new Norah Jones cd that came with a bonus disk with some live songs from the store mentioned above and it also comes up as unknown. Will the social be updated to recognize this too? Thanks again.

Sorting options for soundtracks

When I look at soundtrack albums in the Zune marketplace, I can only sort by Most Played and Year. I can't sort by Title. Am I missing something? If you can only sort by Most Played and Year, that's really stupid.

And while I'm at it, when you're browsing the Songs view of an Artist in the Marketplace, why can't you sort by any of the columns besides Rank and Title? I really want to be able to sort by Album and Artist (since this list includes songs that where the selected artist is a featured artist on another artist's song).

Don't you want to make it easy for me to buy things? I got bored looking at the lists and closed the app. I'm not really going to be browsing the Marketplace much if it doesn't have reasonable UI.

What's the point of showing songs/albums that are not available?

Four different errors when I try to play my downloaded music using the Zune Client

I cannot play some of the music that I purchased from the Zune Marketplace, using the Zune software on my PC. Sometimes I get error code C00D1385 "Need to check usage rights. Please sign in to Zune Marketplace," followed by error code C00D0BBE " Can't perform this operation because Zune can't verify access rights." I have also received error code C00D1365 "Need to check usage rights. Please sign in to Zune Marketplace with the account you used to purchase the item" and error code C00D27E1 "This item is no longer available at Zune Marketplace. Because of this, you can no longer play it or sync it with your Zune. There might be another iteration of it available in Zune Marketplace." I _am_ signed in! None of this information is useful to me. I cannot determine if these errors are due to either 1) doing a clean install of Windows 7 or 2) installing the latest Zune software or 3) a combination of the first two. So far, I am still able to listen to all of the music from my device. This is SO broken. I have an 80GB player. I didn't mind the DRM, as long as it didn't get in my way. Now it's preventing me from listening to music that I purchased legitimately. I'm posting this in the hope that somebody will help fix the problem. If that fails, I suppose I'll just have to cut my losses and purchase MP3 files from Amazon.

How to tell mp3 from wma before buying the song?

I just bought my first song and it's a WMA file. Not only is it a pain (cannot edit file properties), the bit rate is also poor (192 kbps).

Some people mention mp3 files. So, how do I know whether the song is wma or mp3 before I buy it?

Is there a way to filter by mp3 when searching for songs?

Windows 7 Migration

I recently migrated my computer to Windows 7. Right after the migration, I cannot play a music video that I purchased on the Zune marketplace. I get the following error. Error Code C101A9CB.

Does anyone have any ideas what this could be?

Microsoft is telling me that I have reached my max for downloads for music that I’ve bought from the marketplace and a lot of it I had just bought! They’ve doubled charged me before and in the advertisement I do not remember anything about only having five chances to download music and either do others that I know. You need to place that in the marketplace at point of sell or something because when or if I bother to complain again about your product that you must not really care for because you treat your customers like crap! And that “new” Zune you sent me… to replace the crappy one… it’s refurbished isn’t it? You have put me through hell! Don’t worry… I’ll never buy from you again. After the first time you screwed with my music I said I wouldn’t buy but… you came out with the, “you can keep downloading it”, advertisement... so I thought they finally got it…because what they were doing at first wasn’t working (had me double paying for music that I had bought already because their marketplace didn’t want to download the song completely)! Apple can go ahead and be the monopoly they are… I thought I would support Microsoft… but, that’s been back firing since my first Zune. My next MP3 player shell be… an IPod. Peaces and love… and know I think I truly understand that IPod commercial, “it’s different this time… I promise”.

Why is their 2 artist pages for Cathedral?

For some reason their is two artist pages for the metal band Cathedral. Seems it was partly created by an entries for bands having nothing to do with the UK group but seems to have created a problem in the marketplace/artist page as they are totally out of whack.

Song is giving me a "Not enough space error"

This is nuts. I am new to Zune so I signed up for the 15 day pass to Marketplace. I am trying to download a song directly to my hard drive, which has over 100G free space and I get the "not enough free space" message. My first song. attempeted with several others and got the same message: not enough free space. . . now what? not a good into to Zune :-(

Incorrect Release Date for TINA TURNER LIVE in ARNHEM

I was searching for the Tina Turner new album called "TINA LIVE (LIVE IN ARNHEM). I have found it but I have noticed that the date the album was released is incorrect. The album was released in October 2009 not January 1988. I wonder if anyone else have noticed this error. Please get this corrected as soon as possible so other people could see it and enjoy this new album. TINA LIVE is a great album to hear and should be noticed to many TINA fans out there.

Free Music

How can you find the free music that is offered. I know they show it now and then on the list but if you don't download it right then, how do you find it later? I used to use itunes before I got my Zune HD and they had a section for free music. That might would be nice.

I just tried to purchase Philip Glass: Resource from my Zune HD, i got a network error a few times and when i went to resume downloading the song on my third time, it said "You've reached the maximum number of times you can restore this item". Now i can't download the song, even though i spent the Microsoft points on it!

Since David's departure from the content team, I'm just wondering whose inherited responsibility it is now to respond to music content issues in this forum?

I'm only concerned because I haven't exactly seen anyone official from Zune policing this forum for a few weeks now. There are certainly a lot of requests building up, such as content issues that MVPs / helpful users can't necessarily assist with.

Anybody know?

A few months ago (about 6, but maybe more) I had the Zune Music Pass. It suggested I listen to Coalesce's "Functioning On Impatience", which I did...or thought I did. I downloaded it with the Zune Pass and all the music was acoustic with violins. I bought the cd and the music on the cd was metal...not acoustic. It's alright, but the acoustic music that I heard was AMAZING! Thing is, they've fixed this glitch and I don't know what I was listening to. If you know what I'm talking about, please let me know by sending me an email to garysantorelli@yahoo.com. This is my real email, this is how much I really want to know who they were. I can't seem to find out what it was. Please help!

After nearly 18,000 plays on my Zune, PICKS FOR YOU has yet to pick anything that I am remotely interested in. In fact, the majority of the picks are bands and artists I can't stand.

To get the gist of the problem, here is my current listening profile: You will find Van Halen, Faith No More, King's X, Ty Tabor, Alter Bridge, Kenna, Big Wreck, and Filter in the "most played" section. Listening badges include the artists mentioned along with Blue Man Group, Chickenfoot, Nickel Creek, Lush, Prince, Joe Satriani, and Seal. The "recent" section shows Anoushka Shankar, Jamiroquai, David Lee Roth, Queens of the Stone Age, and U2.

Yet, for some odd reason, you guys consistently pick Bon Jovi, Cinderella, Poison, and a bunch of other Hair bands for me to listen to. I regularly rate the music I play with the hopes that you will pick music the reflects what listen to. But, no matter what I do, you folks keep picking crap from me to listen to. This is the main issue that keeps me from buying music on Zune Marketplace.

PICKS FOR YOU should be the launch pad to discover new music that reflects my listening tastes. So far, it has only made me gag. Whatever engine or formula Zune Marketplace is using to pick music for me is completely ignoring what I actually listen to. Can this be fixed?

Where does Zune get their data for the artists concert dates? Most of the dates I have seen have expired or incorrect.
