doesn't it suck when band members leave?

It happened to my band recently...Blake announced that he left Metro Station. They're so amazing, too bad they'll have to replace the guy.

I've also heard of it happening to Hey Monday and one I found recently, City Light Dreams. And others on MySpace that I can't remember.

Anyone else upset about one of these bands having troubles like that? Or perhaps another band with such a problem? I sure am, I met Metro Station in person. Plus, I got a shirt with their photo on it (meaning Blake is on it) thru the mail the day before he announced it.

Doesn't that suck?

Alright, so I am a pretty big Crimson fan. In my opinion Red and Lark's Tongue are probably their strongest in my opinion. The Red/Lark's Tongue/Starless Bible Black trilogy was really the years in which they truly stood out. Discussions anyone? What is your favorite and why?

Coury Palermo's voice is absolutely beautiful in Sleepthief's "World Gone Crazy!" I recognize Sleepthief's sound and can't figure out where? Does anyone know what they've been in? OK so I was out [roller] skating this evening and the DJ played a track that had this funky/hip-hop/jazzy sound to it. No lyrics so nothing to go off of there. When I asked him about it he said it was by the J.B.'s, but the only J.B.'s I could think of is the James Brown J.B.'s. Now Like I said no words, but what it does have is a large strings part (sounded like Cello) and horns (Sax, trumpet). It is an awesome grove and I really don't want to have to wait till next Sunday to hear it again. I know that it is not much to go off of but any help would be greatly appreciated.

(I know that I posted this in the jazz sub-forum also but I really need this song and I need the help)

I'm an instructor for a winterguard and for our show next season's show I want to have a tribute to those who were involved in Hurricane Katrina. What I'm looking for is a rendition of When the Saints go Marching In, in a ragtime jazz style. I want something that has that down home NOLA sounds. Something you expect to hear at Mardi Gras. Do anyone have any suggestions or know of another Jazz Band/Groups that may have such a song? Shoot me a message.

Ok so I was just born in the 80s but the music is still in my head regardless! Plus I just got a new car that has that Sirius radio in it... and I have it constantly on the 80s on 8 channel. So here's the challenge:

PS - I'm into 90s-like slow jams, none of this crappy ass RnB music these days. Like crappy ass Rihanna and Chris Brown. Rihanna doesn't even belong to RnB. Her vocals have no soul whatsoever! If you ask me, the only decent artist these days that come out with decent slow jams is Mariah. Neyo only has one good slow jam as far as I'm concerned (Mad).

Im seriously trying to figure out who did the club banga with one of the illest beats ive rocked to. Only thing I have to offer for a clue as to what I'm looking for is a vague description of the joint... it goes... boom boom boom boom(beat) HOUSE!... boom boom boom boom HOUSE!... It has a sick piano riff that goes hand and hand with the boom boom boom. Missy Elliot uses it in one of her videos when they flip flop beats toward the end of the video. I dont have any media file with the beat to upload if anyone knows from my vague descript... Holla..
