RPG Game Idea + Control Feedback

I was wondering what I should make for the Zune HD. I decided I might as well make some sort of RPG game, they always have good appeal.. I can't decide how the movement should work so I guess your guys input would be the most valuable since your the ones who will probably be wanting to play it.

Here's a rundown of the game:

RPG (top down view or isometric):
- You choose a hero, stats, level up, get items.
- You do a bunch of mini quests.
- You have to protect the town from raids of monsters.
- You can roam in the wilderness and explore dungeons and more.
- Ill try to incorporate nice graphics, fog, flowing water, glowing plants, day/night cycles, maybe zoom in and out.

Controls:
- Tilt to move around the screen, drag your finger to move the character.
or
- Tilt to move around the screen, tap your character, then tap were to go.

or I can make it so you have:

2 Control Modes:
Screen movement: Tilt or arrows on screen.
Character movement: arrows on screen or tap to move.

Ill keep you guys updated on the progress of this if you want, any input is appreciated. Ill be starting tonight.

1 question, is there any max size for game?

Need Help With Getting Games Back On My Zune...Please...I'm At My Wit's End!

I hope someone can help me. I need to find out how to put the games that came with device update 3.1 back on my Zune. I had a lot of problems with the Zune 4.0 Software, and had to revert back to 3.1. The software itself messed up the Zune-removed songs, albums, you name it. I didn't even get to the device update until I talked to MS. Tech support had me do everything possible to the device and my computer-reformat, restore, both on the Zune, and a complete system recovery on my computer to get the update on the Zune (3.2). I tried everything they told me, and it's not a problem with the Zune or the computer-maybe the internet connection, they said. I can't install programs at the library and I tried a computer shop where you could pay to use a computer for the internet, etc. Their computers were so complicated that the Zune wouldn't install on them. And it cost me $25.00 with no result. So, to make a long story short, all 5 games got erased, and there is no more 'games' on my menu, as a result of just the 4.0 software alone. You can't get them anymore from the 3.1 update where it asks if you want to add games to your Zune since MS discontinued the link. I really need help. Can someone give me a link or a package just for the 5 games to make my Zune like it was, or a package that has the complete 3.2 update for the Zune device or another link besides anything through MS? Anything, please! I don't know what to do.

I want to install the newest version of XNA, but when i try to install it it says there's an older verion already on my computer and i need to uninstall it before continuing. And i already uninstalled the older version. Is there some other file i need delete?????help please

Zune install games update freezes up on step 3 of 4 after update to 3.20(35) on 80 GB

Following the update instructions it finishes the main update and then asks if you want to add games. I clicked yes and the update screen came back and went through steps 1 and 2, but when 3 came up the 5 minute update ran for 2 hours and kept my CPU maxed out at 100% and never progressed from there. Anyone else? Any suggestions?

Playing sound effects in XNA 3.1 Zune API?

Call me crazy, but every documented method of playing sound effects has lead me to a dead end when I'm trying to develop my application. This app is RELIANT on sound, so I really need it to work. Can someone please familiarize me with how to load sound content into the application and then play it (and possibly even initialize it)? This is driving me insane.

By the way, this is XNA 3.1 Zune Extensions, and I'm developing for the Zune HD.

Why is it that XNA created games and apps restart the Zune HD upon exit?

ZuneHD apps (user made) do not work.

I have gotten games and apps for my Zune 30 and ZuneHD from the website ZuneBoards for quite a while now, but one day, the user made apps on my HD stopped working. They worked perfectly one day, and the next wouldn't. Microsoft's from the marketplace worked just fine, however

I think it could be a problem with the XNA library on the device itself, but 1) I don't know for sure and 2) I don't know how to remedy this if it is the case.

I have reinstalled the firmware. Twice. Has not helped.

Would definitely like some assistance in this matter, as the user made apps for the HD are very fun.

I need the registration code, I got it a while ago and have no idea what happened to it. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it. But still the screen comes out asking for the code.

Well Microsoft isn't gonna let us upload apps onto there marketplace so i decided to make my own app store, and let the community submit there games, and let them download the games too. Lets get this marketplace wide spread! and filled up with apps!

Problem with Community Created Apps and Games!

Recently when I TRY to run any community created apps the loading screen just loads until the Zune HD just shuts off. Yesterday the community created apps worked fine, but today they don't. Please Help!'

Edit: Fixed it by resetting the whole device.

Can x64 Machines Deploy to Zune?

Hey so I've been writing a few applications and downloading a few games, but everytime i try to deploy to my device, i get the following error message:

Error 2160: The XNA Framework runtime required by this game project is not available on 'Hugo' **(the name of my Zune)**. The following information may provide more detail: There is no runtime registered for the target device that matches the required runtime version. The target device is not supported by the installed version of XNA Game Studio Platform Tools.

I have Microsoft Visual C# 2008 Express Edition installed on my computer with XNA Game Studio 3.1 and the XNA Zune Extentions 3.1 installed. It recognizes my Zune device, but cannot deploy to it.
I am running a x64 intel processor with Windows Vista on it. I have heard a rumor that x64 machines can't deploy to zunes. is there any truth to this? any suggestions?

(ties into first) Form applications
Guide keyboard and message boxes for games

Delete XNA Games?

I added a couple test games that I made onto my Zune HD, and I can't seem to find a way to remove them. The Zune itself doesn't appear to have an option, and the software only shows that I have the marketplace apps (Space Battle 2, Chess, etc) installed. Anyone know how to remove these?

I just don't see the point in working with XNA to make zune games if microsoft doesn't have a system to submit them to the zunes marketplace (app section) and I would like to make games for all zunes.

they showed it earlier but i figured it would be easier to post here and more people would probably find it. All it is, is an add on for the current 3.1 XNA SDK so go to this site to download and install.

Working with the controls on the Zune can be a bear, so I've wrapped it all up and made it event based. Check this out if you're interested.
