Bollywood anyone?

I'm always interested in other people who love Indian films like me. I don't speak any Hindi, but I love them anyways. Much of my current music tastes lean towards the amazing soundtracks produced from these movies.

Currently I'm obsessed with the soundtrack for Devdas. Every song is just stunning! I've also fallen in love with Aaja Nachle from the movie with the same name. I can't forget the Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam soundtrack. I still turn up the volume with Nimbooda.

Anyone else shocked that Bear McCreary was left off the list for his Battlestar Galactica Season 4 music? I can only hope he wins a Grammy for it, seeing as how it is currently in the top 10 music items on Amazon, it had better get the Grammy nod.

Ok, MAYBE this is a silly question, but why isn't a soundtrack to a game made by Microsoft (okay a former division of Microsoft) not available on the marketplace? Seems like they would want to cross promote this sort of thing.

So who else out there is a big fan of James Newton Howard? I'm well on my way to listening to every single one of his scores. Some of my favorites include his work with Hans Zimmer on the Batman movies and the score for The Village. Absolutely gorgeous music.

This CD made me cry and laugh just like the movie.

It featured well known artists like:

David Bowie
Rufus Wainwrite
Nicole Kidman
Ewan McGreggor
Fatboy slim
U2
Christina Aguilara, Lil Kim, Mya and Pink

And more. (I must sound like one of those cheesy infomercials, "Buy now, here's a sample to listen to for five seconds before the next one" lol)

I liked that the soundtrack featured a variety of artists, and was able to keep the flow and focus of the movie which was everlasting love. Each song (including the libido pumping Lady Marmalade) talked about passion.

My favorites were the Rufus Waiwrite song Compliatte la Butte (which was sung in french, the translation is beautiful), the Nature Boy cover by David Bowie, Come What may perfowmed by Ewan Mc Greggor and Nicole Kidman, and I'll fly away by Nicole Kidman.

I've decided to post the latest Social Soundtrack (Volume #5) here at the forums... might make it easier for folks to leave their thoughts on the list and it makes it easier to seek out the albums/artists/etc since you're already here at Zune Social. I must say that there's a lot of use of the word summer in this list -- but that's to be expected.

alright people i dont see much of threads on this discussion group. Lets mix it up a lil shall we? FAVORITE SOUNDTRACK whatcha got? What track ya like? if its a Original Score what part of the movie is it in? I like seein other people with different soundtracks then me tell their favorite? Lets see....mine is probably Battle of the Heroes in Star Wars Episode III cause its the pitfall battle between Anakin and Obi-Wan and every time i hear it i can see the two lightsabers clash its great I dont have to watch the movie when I can just walk with my zune and hear it in my ears baby! Give it up people!

I have two of the songs from the album which are Low by T-pain and Shake Your Pom Pom by Missy Elliott. I like the beat so I was wondering what people thought about the rest of the album...
