I saw that Marketplace has PBS kids. I though I'd see if anyone has run across any Christian kid shows. I don't do Marketplace. I do Amazon and I haven't done shows yet. I'm not sure if they have any. But, if MP does have some maybe I can buy some pts.

I have CBN and other audio podcasts for me. Anything for my 4 yo? I'd like something for her. Right now she'll listen to her music; but, I'd like something to change up to when I need something to entertain her.

I've come to a place in my searching for new music where I'm not sure who's good and who's not. My biggest problem is that there are alot of artist who get put in the main streem of music So its hard for me to find em. The other part is I'm lazy and don't whant to look through all the market place. BUT ANY WAY.
I think all us christian listeners should colaberate and create a sort of human search tool. So lets say i was looking for a christian artist that was mettal core and there lyrics were totaly christian. Or looking for a new band that has a brand new sound. So I say we should start one. =) Just an idea

So I'm getting into the podcast thing and I thought I'd ask yall about some. Because it we are 'watching' then we aren't watching all the podcasts that are available. I have Faith Harvest (my church), Family Life Today, Focus on the Fam, my local news and weather, Joel Osteen and just put CBN and Living the Life on there. Any other recs? I'll watch secular ones; (obviously with the news and weather) but, judiciously. The ones I have are all I can think of.

I love that show it's so up lifting. Roma Downey (Monica/Main character) put out an album and in 98' and it's really awesome. It's called healing angel. Roma is Irish and she sings in Gaelic in some of the songs. It's brilliant!

Anybody know? I am download the mp3s and I'm starting to learn about the video. Hills new cd is out and my MOM is always showing the DVDs when we come over to his house and I thought *I'd* get the newest and as opposed to previous releases download it to my Zune. :)

Why can't people sing about life, love, relationships, problems, struggles, etc.... isn't that what the book of Psalms is?

I love the fact that the lines are finally starting to blur a little between "Christian" & "Secular" music as it used to be called... I think music should be called "music," and not labeled something that would turn the world off to it... just because the Word says that we should not be "of" the world, doesn't mean that we're not "in" it... more appropriate labels are Rock, Rap, Jazz, etc... I have to say that I've always been turned off by the label "CCM" or contemporary Christian music... usually if it has that label, I don't want to hear it... even Rich Mullins hated that label...

Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth on the subject.

What is your favorite 'Gospel Centered' song and why?

I just thought I would start a gospel discussion thread. So I want to start be asking what everyone's favorite Gospel Centered song is and give and explination as to why and what it means to you. Feel free to mention more than one!

Mine are:

The Look, by Soverign Grace Music...This song, I think, really puts the Gospel in perspective and I am very moved to repentance and thankfulness when I listen to it. It really helps me to picture the Gospel in my mind and meditate on Christ mercy and grace. And the great cost of my sin...that He gladly paid for His glory!
When I Survey The Wondrous Cross, By Kathrin Scott....I love how she sings this song...she does it in a way that is so personal and intimate. This song has many of the same attributes as the above song...very moving!

I cannot wait to hear what everone else thinks!

I looked at the top Christian artists on Zune Marketplace. It lists the top 100, and it lacks Switchfoot, 12 Stones, Underoath, Anberlin, Relient K, AND Pillar. Are crazies determining these ratings?!?!?!?!?!

We come to the end of a dying breed of christian artists. The kind that would sing about God and things of that nature. Now we see Bands who are christians but the songs verry rarly (if at all) sing about God.

So how long tell we see the Old version of christian rock artists come back as new ones.
