I have a 30G Zune and a charging dock for this Zune. I want to be able to keep my charging dock so my question is, does the Zune hd and the older zunes have the same charging port?

I just bought a new Zune HD to replace an older model Zune that I inadvertently left on an airplane. I just installed Windows 7 on my desktop computer. I plugged in the new Zune HD for the first time and Windows 7 doesn't recognize it. Any suggestions?

Lost my Zune - How do I get it back, or at least de-register it from my account?

I left my Zune on an airplane about two months ago. I just logged onto my Zune account and notice several new badges that I have received, for music that I do not have. Obviously, somebody else found my Zune and is now using it. How do I get it back, or at least de-register that Zune from my account?

Most of them say Ipod connection and most have an aux input as well. I am looking for something under $200. I am assuming the Zune would not work on the ipod connection, but would it input thru the aux input? Anyone have any suggestions on a model?

I was wondering if anyone could recommend me a nice pair of headphones? The ones that come with the Zune are nice and all, but I was hoping for a bit of an upgrade.

I don't want:

- Ridiculously large headphones. While they do produce the best sound, I'm not ready to take on the short battery life they'll probably give my Zune.

- In-ear headphones. I don't mean like the ones that come with the Zune, I mean these kind.

- Skullcandy. I've had bad experiences with their products, both expensive and affordable.

Ok, this has to be the 5th fricken time this has happened. I plug in my zune hd as usual to update transfer new music and stuff to my zune. Then it asks me to change the sync relationship, so i do that, even though i have only ever synced the zune with one computer, which is my laptop. After I change the relationship, I all of a sudden see that there is a huge 2.5gb reserved space for content from other computers. I have no clue why it is doing this to me over and over again. Every time this happens, i have to erase all the content off my zune and put everything back, erasing all my app history and stuff which takes hours to put back on my zune. all i want to know is, is there anyone else that has had this problem before, and if so, is it reoccurring like me. Also, is there anyone that has a way to fix this and get the reserved space crap off so that I can have my 2.5gb of space back???

friend gave me new zune

i have an 8 gb red zune tht a friend gave me with all her music on it would like to put mine on it but when i connect it to my computer...is asks me if i wanna locat and install driver software and i click it then it tells me system cannot find the environmen option that was entered. after i click ok, an icon pops up and says that driver software was installed for the zune. HELP ME.

When to charge the Zune HD

Hi I was wondering when I am supposed to be charging my Zune HD. Should I charge it when the battery is dead or should I charge it when its half drained? Will this degrade the life of the battery?

I have the red 8G 2nd gen zune and I have downloaded the Zune 4.0 Software but for some reason, the software does not recognize my zune. Can anybody tell me whats wrong because I really need to update my zune's content.

Bug in USB connection

I don't know if this has occured with other zunes and if so please reply but heres the scenario I went through.

Summary- Repeatedly unpluged and pluged the zune which caused a USB error where my computer couldn't recognize my device. Found it by following solution listed below my story.

I had my zune in sleep so I pluged in the factory USB cord which gave me the lighning bolt battery icon in the top right corner. I had zune already up, but the device did not show up in the software. My device went into sleep so I unlpuged my zune then pluged it back in and the main page pulled up on my zune instead of the screen lock page. I unpluged my zune and restarted my computer. After "Windows XP pro." restarted I plug back in my zune and the screen lock screen came up with the battery icon switching from a charging state to an idle state repeatedly with a delay of about 3 seconds between each icon. My software does not show any indication tht the player is connected.

Solutuion=

"Click Start, right-click Computer, and then click Properties.
Click Device Manager. Click the root computer icon, and then click Scan for hardware changes on the Actions menu. Zune should be listed under Portable Devices.
Note If the player was installed incorrectly, Zune may be listed together with a yellow exclamation mark (!). Or, it may be listed under Other devices as USB Device.
Double-click Zune, and then click the Driver tab. The current version of the driver that is installed should be 4.0.622.0.

If Windows Device Manager indicates a device problem, or if the version of the player that is installed is not the current version, you must update the driver. To do this, follow these steps: Right-click Zune or USB Device, and then click Properties.
Click the Driver tab, and then click Uninstall.
If it is displayed, click to select Delete the driver software for this device, and then click OK.
Click the root computer icon, and then click Scan for hardware changes on the Actions menu.
Right-click Zune, and then click Properties.
Click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver.
Click Browse my computer for driver software.
Click Browse, locate the Program Files\Zune\Drivers folder, and then click OK.
Click Next.
If you are prompted, click Install.
After the driver installation is complete, click Close two times."

Dropped my ZHD; replace front bezel?

A tragedy struck me today ... my ZHD slipped out of my hands and fell on the mean, evil concrete, the bottom right corner of the fron bexel now has a nastly little scratch. is there a support option to replace this part?

Screen goes black no response then works after a few seconds this is the third zune hd anyone else? 2 32 and now a 16 i dont want any other player and i dont know what to do it happens randomly
The only thing i can think of is the other day i yanked the charger it was a old one that locks and i didnt know so i pulled it no damage at all but now its being stupid

Photo viewing

Is it possible to change the way photos are displayed on the Zune HD? I have photos in different folders and they are not arranged by name like I want them to; I have no idea what way they are arranged. Is it also possible to turn off the accelorometer? Sometimes I just wanna view a photo a certain way but the thing keeps rotating. The Zune also apparently re-orientes certain photos. I have photo in portrait on my computer that it keeps changing to landscape no matter what I do. Many photos are also apparently resized to be displayed entirely on the screen witout zooming in. All of my photos look poor when I zoom in, and comics become downright unreadable.

Zune HD discoloration

Has anyone else been experiencing some discoloration on the silver part of their Zune HD? I have the the 32 GB version, and the silver panel below the home button on the front has this strange purplish discoloration on the bottom left corner, almost like the paint is wearing off (but it's not). It looks like the paint or material is reacting to something. Also, the discoloration appears to be slowly spreading.

At one point I was on my Brothers Zune pass then I made one for me and my mom, cause my Brother moved out.
Now every thing that I download from my Brothers Zune pass isn't working on my Zune HD. I got a new Zune pass when I got my Zune HD and thats when it came out, but may be for the past week or so its been coming up with this error. It asks me 'Your Zune Pass info needs to be refreshed. Refresh now?' then I click 'yes' it connects to my wireless internet, and nothing happenes... I'm getting frustrated cause I spent like all day going thought my Zune and dealting every thing thats wasnt working on my Zune HD then I sync my Zune and nothing helped... its getting me really mad, so could ya help. (:

zune 30 freezes up while syncing

my zune 30 kept saying item missing or cant be played and i had to do a hard reset on it to work and when it finished the reset it would keep locking up when ever i tried syncing it the first time i tried it went into the please wait freeze and then it said to contact support error, and now i am trying to sync it wirelessly just to see if that works, but if any one has any suggestions on what to do other then sending it in i would be very thankful

The most compelling argument to get a zune hd over an itouch as of now is the hardware. It's got the tegra chip, oled screen, and some pretty beastly innards that give it an edge. This intense hardware will obviously open up a lot of opportunities for game development, maybe even running full blown xbox 360 games. One thing that ive noticed playing simple 3d games on the itouch is that there's not much you can do with just a touch screen, especially for FPSs or RPGs. Since the XNA framework already has the ability to take input from an xbox 360 controller, why not find a way to plug an xbox 360 controller into the zune? Zune HD, Zune Pass, and Camaro 2010

I'm currently having an issue with the Zune HD. I am unable to use my Zune Pass songs while plugged into the USB port of my 2010 Chevy Camaro. It plays one song while it says Indexing PFD... It doesn't even show up as a Zune but a PFD(Plays forsure device). After the indexing is done I'm able to see all the songs and playlists. When I try to play a song it doesn't play. I then tried another ZuneHD. Same results, but this one had a few MP3s that I put on there. They played just fine. Next I tried my 8GB Zune. It had the same content as the second Zune HD. It took less time to index and then was able to play all the content. I tried to call into zune support but they were no help and I saw no e-mail address to send this to.
