Lost Sync Rights

Recently, my old computer crashed. And when I bought a new computer and transfered my Zune media to my new computer, I somehow lost the sync rights to hundreds of my songs. The ironic thing, to boot, is that all of those lost songs were bought from the Zune marketplace. Any ideas on how I can fix this would be appreciated.

And note, I ran the media collection reset tool. I also deleted the firmware on my Zune and tried re-syncing everything as well. Hopefully, I'm not SOL.

Songs being automatically removed without my consent from my ZuneHD during sync

I've noticed this for a while and IDK why it's doing this, sometimes when I connect my ZHD to my PC (Win 7 x64) a few of my songs will be removed during sync automatically. These are not songs that have any DRM on them, from what I've noticed they're all songs that I've ripped from my CD collection. The songs are still on my PC and in my Zune collection but they're being automatically removed from my ZHD without my consent. When I use the Zune Software on my PC I can see the icon that signifies that this certain song is on your Zune device is not there for these removed songs. I can sync them back no problem but IDK why they're being removed to begin with. I'm not out of space I still have over 8GB free on the device. It's been doing this for a while, I can't say definitely how long but at least a month. My sync option for music is set to "items I choose". I've updated to 4.3 but it was doing it before and after the update.

Hi, i have a netbook that came with winXP and i have a zune 120gb. I have had all my junk on it and have been syncing with the computer since july. In the past few weeks however, the computer started having problems. The cpu load would jump up and down like a heartbeat, basically making watching movies, listening to music etc. a pain. I borrowed my friend's zune 30 yesterday and synced a bunch of songs to it. It got about 91% done when i decided to open up my web browser. It started opening really slowly and BANG!! blue screen of death. i tried restarting several times, in safe mode and everything, but everytime it would get the BSOD before it could finish booting. So i basically installed Ubuntu linux which deleted everything on my hard drive. The zunes still work and the computer works fine now, but i was wondering if there was any way to sync through linux, because i'm not going to buy a $150 copy of windows for a $300 netbook.

Won't Sync. Very annoying

I have the red 8G 2nd gen zune. I recently downloaded the Zune 4.0 software, but for some reason, it won't recognize my zune. Can anybody tell me what's wrong and what I should do because I really need to update my zune's content.

Pictures - problems with shuffle

Hello. I want to get pictures on my Zune exactly in order, that it is in the folder on the PC. But when I try to sync this folder with Zune via software ver 4.0 I get pictures in the shuffled order. Why and how to solve?

I need help. I just moved up to a HP with Windows 7 64 on it and whenever I try to install the Zune 4, I keep getting the error message 0x80070424; sometimes the progress bar goes up to 10% and then jumps to the end and tells me that the program could not install. I've tried to run the installation and download the 464MB and installing it, the result is the same - maybe the bar goes up to 4% or 8% or 10% but then it stops. My collections made the move OK and the music plays, but none of the videos play in the media player.

Appreciate any help.

My Zune Crashes during Sync WINDOWS 7

It. Worked before on windows vista. I'm using 64bit Win7 Ulitmate. It syncs wirelessly buy its slow. If i sync it it will sync a little bit of my music then stops. No error or anything. Then the usb drivers mess up. I tried changing usb ports, removing other things from my pc, reinstalling mobo drivers, graphics drivers, i tried formatting hard drive and reinstalled 7. I have to restart my computer like 50 times to sync my zune. BTW its not my Zune thats the problem i hAVE 2 DIFFERENT KINDS OF ZUNES AND MY IPOD DOESNT WORK EITHER. Ive reinstlled their firmware. etc used admin used vista compat mode xp compat mode trying the ZUNE40 weird install version. I can't find any older versions of zune or older drivers so I really need some help here.

Wireless sync not working

i have a 120gb zune and i used to be able to do the wireless sync now i bought a new computer and now it dosent work... any ideas as to why and if so please help me

zune pass renewed but still no usage rights on device

Hey, I let my zune pass expire for a while and finally renewed it last night . . . In my collection it will let me play all my songs. I synced my device and it completed but when I went to listen to my zune it said that the usage rights had expired . . . I went back to my collection and listened to the song I was trying to listen to on my device and it was there I was able to play it no problem. I updated my device and software . . . even reinstalled it hoping it would fix the problem but it didn't . . . Can anyone help me out here? I just bought a zune pass would like to be able to listen to the music on my zune. :(

i need help. are there any games i can download/sync to my Zune 120GB? if there are where can i get them? because i got excited when i went to the apps section on the Zune Software program but my trip was killed when i realized it was only for the HD zune. =(

C00D11CD error can't sync to device

I get the error message when trying to re-sync my music that some of the songs cannot be re-synced. I can play them in the music collection from the Marketplace, and it shows they are in my collection downloaded to my computer. But how can I correct this issue? Error code C00D11CD "summary: unknown error occured", and in ( ) underneath that it says the number 80070490. It shows on all of those songs that they are still licensed and able to be downloaded and synced to the Zune devices, so why is it now over 80 songs can't be re-synced and re-licensed to my device? I did not license my songs for over 3 weeks, and when I came back from the hospital the Zune 120 device says I needed to re-license (re-sync) the music, and now when I do that, it added some 15 songs to my Zune device that I downloaded to my collection on the computer through Zune Marketplace, but won't sync the other 80 plus songs that were previously synced to my device? What is going on here?

No Media found after sync

I erased all the content off of my 120 GB zune in order to choose what I sync...I have done this before without a problem. However, this time, for some reason, after the sync is complete, the zune has no media on it. No music, movies or pictures. It gave me the grey screen of death telling me to contact support. I went to the support page and attempted the self help, and it sent my zune back into grey screen 5. So I try to print a label to send it to the company, as it is still under warrenty...and the WEBSITE is having technical issues. My life is really a lot more challenging without my zune. I need to get it fixed.

Has anyone had a problem with the zune not being able to actually sync and replay media? Mine just circles through the music and can't ever find a file to play. It has all the file names though. And even though it has no media in the pictures area, my background picture is still there. Any ideas on what I can do? Or will it have to be shipped back?

I have recently become part of the zune community. I don't know too much about this zune device because the booklet that came with it is standard issue and everyhting online just talks about the media that comes with it. Is this one considered a HD? everyhting on the marketplace comes up for the HD so im assuming it is. but i may be wrong. i downloaded a game for it, the PGR and when i go to Sync it, it makes the "no smoking" symbol and says it cant sync apps.can anyone tell me why?

I own a Zune 4GB. Upgraded to Zune 4.0 desktop software (and my device) and device hardly EVER connects now.

What's strange is that if I plug in my Zune device, the Zune software starts automatically but it never shows up in the Zune software. I've done a hard reset twice now. Same issue. Sometimes if I repeatedly soft-reset the device (by pressing the back button + up), it will randomly connect ok with the software already open. There's no rhyme or reason in the order I connect. Sometimes I'll disconnect the Zune device and soft-reset it, close down the Zune software (I have to do it via Windows Task Manager now since Zune absolutely refuses to close after I exit now), restart the desktop software then connect the device, and sometimes it'll connect. OR I just shut down the desktop software and repeatedly disconnect and reconnect the device until it finally shows up in the Zune software. I've tried restarting the computer and it doesn't make a difference. It will just connect at random after repeatedly disconnecting and connecting, soft resetting and restarting.

Sometimes, it takes 5-10 minutes for the Zune device to be recognized by the software. I'll connect it and nothing happens for a few minutes. Then it'll just randomly connect after about 10 minutes.This is driving me crazy. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Zune desktop software, checked for updates (nothing) and I can't go back now. Everything has been upgraded to the latest software and I'm stuck with a non-syncing Zune.

Today, it refuses to connect at all. I've tried to get the Zune desktop software to recognize my player numerous times today, and usually I'm lucky after about 5-20 minutes of frustration. No luck today. My Zune won't sync at all now.

What the bleep. I'm really upset and seeing this is a common issue with non HD Zunes. Any updates on what to do anyone?

moved to win7 now 7 songs won't sync

So I did a clean install to win7, and now 7 songs are complaining that the usage rights aren't correct. "Need to check usage rights. Please sign in to Zune Marketplace with a Zune Pass account. Error Code C00D1371." I didn't download these originally with Zune Pass, I paid for them outright from the marketplace. Six of them are on one album (Thriller), but the other three songs on that album sync and play fine. The whole album is protected so I can't see why one song synchronizes but another won't.

When you set up a Smart DJ playlist to refresh daily, when do they generally do this? I've noticed that some of my playlists do refresh and sync on a daily basis, and some don't seem to unless I manually refresh them. It also seems that quite a bit my Zune won't sync the full refresh playlists, but often only 25, 26, 27, etc... of 30 songs. And sometimes the software says it has synced but my Zune when unplugged says no songs. Finally, what's the best way to encourage diversity when the smart DJ updates. It seems to often just cycle the same songs, and while it's given me some great new bands I would have never heard of before in cases, it does seem like some playlists just seem to cycle the same songs and artists over and over again.This is without a doubt my favorite and most useful upgrade to the software and I'd love for it to operate at it's full potential.

Yes I got this little pop up on my zune. I've gotten it before and all I had to do was plug it into my PC. Well I recently moved and didn't have enough room to take my PC and my laptop is a mac. My whole thought process was I'll just plug it into my cousins laptop just to keep it updated. Well I did this and the zune says its updated but every time I play a song it says that text. I already went to my setting and took my old computer off so now my zune is only linked to two computers, and it still doesn't work. I've searched around on google for the answer, but most people have no idea and their only solution is to delete all my songs and re download them all. Seeing as I can't do that I need a different answer.

Channels still not syncing

IS there ever going to be a fix for this issue. Many people are having this problem and no word from the zune team on when their expect to fix it. his is so annoying. Every single channel says incomplete after syncing. WHYYYYYY? 4.0 is awesome, but killed my channels which me and my wife use allot. Hope its in the next update

Problem with syncing my friends list....

I'm having a problem with my Zune and friends list syncing....

I tried syncing my Xbox live friends list(just the people who have a zune) to my zune, not knowing it takes up like 600MB and that for just like 11 friends, and so I decided to cancel the syncing and now it won't stop trying to sync my friends list while I try to add music to my zune making it really slow to sync songs, and I can't figure out how to completely cancel the syncing and delete the friends list from my zune to free space and increase the syncing speed of things I actually want on there(songs, videos, apps, podcasts, etc.). And it's weird it takes forever just to sync one song that my friend has on their list.

So any help on how to completely stop my friends list with syncing to my zune and how to delete the stuff already on there?

Zune 80G is connected, but I cannot add music.

Hey all, I am having a problem when I try to add new music to my Zune player. The music I download from Amazon shows up in My Collection. I go to right click on the song and the option to "Sync to My Zune" is no longer available. However, I can go to the My Device page and run a full sync, but I only want to add individial songs. I tried reinstalling the the software to no avail. I'm totally baffled here. Any Ideas?????

I'm having no luck getting TV shows that I recorded using media center (dvr-ms files)on to either of my zune players. It worked okay right after the update and after I changed the settings for zune player playback, but now it won't sync tv shows. Podcasts music work just fine. I uninstalled, then reinstalled the latest zune software and I still can't get the recorded TV shows that are on my hard drive on to either of the players. Suggestions?

I just tried up dating the 120 and it deleted all of the music from the pc and the Zune all that remains is the newest stuff from the last few days...... i have another 120 that has most of the music that was lost from the other Zune 120 my designation is Zune 122. 122 still has all the music and pics im afraid to up date that one fearing i'll lose all of that stuff from this Zune.....
