wen i try to install the software (64 bit) it says its not a win32 app!! now i have a 64bit so thats the one i need and i tried the other one and it wouldn't down load either!! PLZ HELP!!!!

I wasn't able to sign into the Zune software. I opened my Win. Live email and it automatically signed me in as usual, but this time it popped up with "You are currently working offline, would you like to be online?" After clicking yes, I jumped back to the Zune Software, then BOOM! I'm online. WTF? Internet was working and everything, I just wasn't able to sign in.

Error installing Zune Software with Windows 7

I just installed Windows 7, and now when I try to install Zune 4.0 I get an error:

Operation error failed with 0x8007047F: The specified program is not a Windows or MS-DOS program.

Than when I click Ok I receive the error message:

Can't find the media for installation package 'Windows Media Format SDK.' It might be incomplete or corrupt.

Error Code: 0x80070002

Whats Up?

Delete ALL zune files completly from computer. How?

I cannot delete all of the files that the Zune software stuck on my computer, and I need to, to re-install it. How do I erase the files that tell me that 'access is denied?' Or, can I just re-install it a different way and not worry about deleting them?

Machine de-registration failure

I have 2 main machines, a laptop and desktop. When I bought the Zune HD I was out of town so only had my laptop. I got it set up on my laptop right away which had a copy of all of my music on it. While I was gone, WIN 7 was released and I did a fresh install from Vista. After the install and re-setup of Zune it worked perfect. I just got back home to my main machine running WIN 7 RC1 (I think, maybe another candidate, I was gone for a few months). I set up the device and software, and the device synced up ok other than the fact nothing was pushed by onto my desktop. I had issues with my desktop and did a fresh install of WIN 7 which fixed those issues. I just tried installing my playing, and have too many comps registered with the device.

What I need is that only my desktop and laptop are synced, I see the old machine names in there but I travel too much to wait 1 month for my next de-activation.

How can I start over without losing my files? I still have everything on my laptop and can transfer directly if that helps, but I need to be able to sync with my desktop. I bought the HD with the dock to hook up to my HD TV and the content is on my desktop.

I'm running the Zune software and listening to music. If I want to pause the music I just hit the button on my keyboard and it pauses the music in the zune software but also starts Windows Media Player (why does this still exist?).

How do I stop it from starting Windows Media Player?

ok well i recently went to download and install the zune player. i got the installer off zune.com and tried to install it, it gave me a error message and sent me to a site were i downloaded and installed zunepackage.exe. It installed on my computer but everytime i try to open it and connect to my zune it give me popup that looks like this and i cant seem to find out whats wrong

80GB firmware update problem

Hi all

I have updated my Notebook to W7 64 (on a empty HD). Then I installed Zune 4.0 64-Version sucessfully, all my medias have been found.

Now I tryed to connect my Zune 80GB, installation of Device Driver went well (at least it is under portable devices listed, without exclamation point).

But the Zune Software provides this error code when I connect my Zune:
ERROR DURING PLAYER UPDATE
Your player has encountered an error while trying to update to the latest software. Please try to update your player again.
Error Code: C00D11CD
YOUR PLAYER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED TO THE LATEST SOFTWARE.

What I already tried without beeing successfully:

Zune Software reinstalled
Zune on other USB port
changed location from Switzerland to US
tried to install fw manually (double-click the zune-firmware.msi file)
installed Zune sw on my 2nd PC (Vista 64) -> same problem

Any other ideas?

error 0x80070424 when trying to install Zune 4.0

I need help. I just moved up to a HP with Windows 7 64 on it and whenever I try to install the Zune 4, I keep getting the error message 0x80070424; sometimes the progress bar goes up to 10% and then jumps to the end and tells me that the program could not install. I've tried to run the installation and download the 464MB and installing it, the result is the same - maybe the bar goes up to 4% or 8% or 10% but then it stops. My collections made the move OK and the music plays, but none of the videos play in the media player.

Appreciate any help.

Zune Software Disappearing

I hope someone can help me with this. At least once a week, if not more, since I installed Windows 7 Ultimate, my Zune software disappears and I have to uninstall and reinstall the software (and reloading the drivers). My shortcuts, which are/were pinned to the Start menu and Taskbar are both gone, and when I try to load it from the regular Start Menu folder, there is no icons. When I try to load it under the C:/Program Files area, the files appear to be there, but again it doesn't load. The only differences between now and when I first got my Zune HD is that the operating system was Vista Home Premium 32 bit and is now the 64 bit version of 7. Also, about 6 weeks ago, I got an external hard drive and moved all of my music, videos, and photos to the external hard drive. Has anyone else come across this and know why this is happening and what can be done to stop it? I tried Zune customer service and the woman I spoke with was not very smart about the Zune and was no help whatsoever. I'm extremely frustrated at this point.

I do have the 64 bit version of the software installed, and I assume the 64 bit drivers.

I'm getting really frustrated! haha I just bought the new Zune HD 16G and it won't detect the device on my computer

I have only 111 gigs.
I have no user content from other computers.

Only shows music and its maxed at 111 gigs.
So Im unable to sync a 117 gig music library.

I have no reserved space!
Just maxed at 111gigs!

hi i just got my 32 gb zune hd today and i am able to sign into the zunes website, but unable to sign in on the software leaving me not able to use my marketplace....it comes up wit the error called c00d1353 and says unable to sign in because of my region...very frustraiting and i need help

When is Microsoft going to do something about the bugs in zune 4.0??? I use it two times and now it only flashes the Zune logo on the screen and then disappears. I get nothing. I have a zune 120. I had to send my first one in after it bricked 30 days after I got it. I am not impressed with my zune experience. I have a i7 965 with 6gigs of ram and run Windows 7 x64 and install the x64 zune 4.0 software. I could not upgrade to the zune 4.0 with Vista. Got errors that I tried to work around and nothing Microsoft had on their site worked. Now I have to go and uninstall zune 4.0 and try reloading zune 3.whatever just to get to use my zune again. I have a feeling that one of the updates that Windows 7 did broke the zune 4.0 program! Way to go Microsoft!! Now they need to fix it without me having to spend hours of my time looking for a fix. I sure won't buy any more Microsoft hardware of any kind if they can not get their own software that goes with it to play nice together with their own Windows 7!!! Anyone have a answer to the zune 4.0 software issue? I have seen alot of post about it with no good answers. I have seen ones where they had to uninstall other software along with the zune 4.0 and reinstalled it and it still was not fixed.
