The girl that I like is on the opposite coast from me and I haven't seen her for four and a half months and won't for another three. This playlist is pretty good for reminiscing since we both like most of these songs and they all remind me of her(except maybe the last one, but I like it anyway). Couldn't really think of anymore at the moment, but would like some more to expand the playlist...

Baby Come On (Acoustic Version)- +44
I Just Don't Think I'll Ever Get Over You- Colin Hay
I Will Follow You Into The Dark- Death Cab For Cutie
1000 Times A Day- The Early November
The Transition (Acoustic)- Hawthorne Heights
Naked As We Came- Iron And Wine
Sol Solis- Moving Mountains
Hey Ya- Obadiah Parker
Swing Life Away- Rise Against
A Walk Through Hell- Say Anything
Casimir Pulaski Day- Sufjan Stevens
Memory (Acoustic Version)- Sugarcult
Cute Without The E (Acoustic Version)- Taking Back Sunday

Does anyone else have a playlist of music they listen to in the rain, or while it's raining? I've been compliling one as of late, and I just wanted to know, if I wasn't the only one, what others had...I've got about sixty songs on mine, which makes it one of my shorter playlists (and yet too long to reasonably put up here), so I may or may not be asking such a query in hopes of expansion. XD

A good chunk of my list, however, contains the Garden State soundtrack, as well as a lot of The Killers (which are inexplicably perfect for rainy weather, in my opinion), and Journey.

I'm in a group that paints murals in small towns. One of the other artists in our group has done fire station doors for his last few projects. I was joking with him that he should make a playlist full of "fire" songs that he could listen to while working at the fire station. The more I thought about the idea the more I liked it. So here is my fire playlist as of thus far (I know it's missing a bunch of songs, but I need to prioritize my purchases):

Fire and Rain - James Taylor

Fire Woman - The Cult

Light My Fire - The Doors

Maybe I'll Catch Fire - Alkaline Trio

Paper in Fire - John Mellencamp

Ring of Fire - Johnny Cash (or Social Distortion haven't decided yet)

Through the Fire and the Flames - Dragonforce

Burn - Alkaline Trio

Burn it to the Ground - Nickelback

Burning Down the House - Talking Heads

I Burn - Toadies

Los Angeles is Burning - Bad Religion

Slow Dancing in a Burning Room - John Mayer

Burn it Up - The Offspring

Feel free to add other suggestions!

(Sorry if this is a double or in the wrong place)

I've been looking for some good songs with a sort of action feel to it; like it would be a song played in a fight scene or something.

"Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down and "Away From the Sun" from 3 Doors Down are a couple of the songs that I think fit this...."Blow Me Away" By Breaking Benjamin is another...but I can't seem to get that one.

Any ideas?

What Top five songs showed up on your "Songs for You" the last time you checked?

1.Livin On a Prayer by Bon Jovi

2.Dirty Little Secret by The All American Rejects

3.Teenagers by My Chemical Romance

4.One Step Closer by Linkin Park

5.If Today Was Your Last Day by Nickelback

I personally think the "Songs for You" is broken.

How does listening to bands such as DIO, Sabbath, Killswitch Engage, and Lamb of God, give me these Soft Mainstream bands? Lol.

Also, could anyone recommend some trance music that I could check out. I have been really listening to it lately but don't know what all to look for.

Yeah, yeah, I'm a purist, too, but everyone's got at least one. I don't have many, but I've got two covers of Rhianna's "Umbrella" that I love (by All Time Low and Lillasyster), despite the fact that I hate Rhianna with a passion.

And, I gotta admit, it doesn't compare to the original, and I usually, for some completely unknown reason, dislike when girls sing Beatles songs (it doesn't make any sense, because I'm a girl), but Across the Universe's version of "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" is pretty adorable.

I'm looking for new music and I've been searching online for a while now but can't seem to find anything worth downloading. I like basically anyone who has a weird/unusual voice and I love minimalist electronic music. Some artists I like are CocoRosie, Joanna Newsom, Why?, Melodium, Lullatone, Dosh, Yann Tiersen, and Múm.

Any suggestions?

I need something laid back, kind of chill.
Bands to work around:
Jason Mraz
Lily Allen

Those kinds of relaxed songs. No heavy rock songs, just chill songs like the ones jason mraz and lily allen make.

Thanks!
