re: wireless sync not working..
I ran into the same problem and was able to fix it.  Check out this post:  http://forums.zune.net/6972/ShowPost.aspx

Whenever I’m about to do something I ask myself 'would an idiot do this?' If the answer is yes then I don't do that thing.

re: wireless sync not working..

Is your zune filled up now? I found that when I took a few folders out of my library so all my music would fit on my Zune, I was able to wireless sync. Before that, it would say Can't connect... I also deleted everything off my zune after I altered my library and let it sync over night via cable. Now it seems to work fine.

Erase Zune

Set up Sync so your zune isn't filled

Resync via cable

Probably isn't a fix for everyone but it worked for me.

Good luck.

Although I still feel wireless sync is a bit worthless but at least we don't have to carry the cable around all the time.

Let us manage files from our Zune wirelessly!

re: wireless sync not working..
Can someone explain exactly how wireless sync works? I mean, how to do the whole wireless syncing process, after the Zune is connected to the network? When I try to add songs to sync, it tells me my zune must be connected, but it seems the only time when my Zune connects is when I select sync, and that's only for a limited time...

re: wireless sync not working..

Try turning off your firewall.  I use ZoneAlarm and I have to turn it off in order to get the ZUNE to wirelessly sync.  With ZoneAlarm on it does the same thing yours does -  finds network, connecting to PC, error.  When I turn of ZA it works great.

Now I just have to figure out how to get ZA to let it go...

re: wireless sync not working..

Make sure that you have the appropriate firewall exceptions made in Windows Firewall, and any other 3rd party firewall applications you have running on your machine. I'm not sure what ZA does in particular, but these are the important firewall exceptions that need to be made in Windows.

On XP:

Make sure that "UPnP Framework" has a firewall exception.

On Vista:

Make sure that "Network Discovery" and "Windows Portable Devices" both have a firewall exception.

You may want to view your ZA logs to see what it is blocking when you attempt to wireless sync. Note what it is blocking, then see if you can make an exception for it.

Let us know how it goes...

Thanks!

re: wireless sync not working..
My wireless sync for my 30Gb worked fine the first time, and just like one guy said, once i connected with cable, it stopped working. I have windows XP, and I added a firewall exception for UPnP framework on PCcillin firewall witht he same ports as Windows Firewall's exception. I can't do the uninstall drivers because I dont have the Network that shows the zune like one guy said above in his solution. Is there anything else i can do?

PCcillin is notorious for being over protective to the point theres an issue. It came free with a one year subscript to it on my new vista pc but I had to delete it because it was locking everything down. xbox simple LAN file transfers and everything. I suggest removing it and trying again.

re: wireless sync not working..
What I noticed is that the Zune does not connect directly to the computer instead it connects to your wireless router and then connects to the computer through that. The problem could that you do not use the internet VIA wireless router so your Zune has nothing to connect to the computer through. I you do use a wireless connection make sure you have it turned on.

You may want to try configuring wireless sync again through the PC client wireless sync setup interface. Sometimes when switching between wireless and wired connections, you have to re-configure wireless sync again.

I don't need network answers, my network is already set up and the Zune is connected. Please give the software and hardware side process to make a wireless sync happen.

I'm still having the problem.. the firewall is fine and when I plug the zune on the computer it says that it's working properly.. I have the 30 G version and it has 20 GB free so I don't think it's because it's full.. any other ideas? Thanks btw
