Frustrations with Zune Pass

Anyone else finding more content either not available, album only or music that was offered (Spoon/Arcade Fire) now just gone? This seems to be happening more and more over the past few months. Just wondering if anyone else has been having the same issues when looking for music?

Seems to defeat the purpose of paying $15 a month for a subscription and purchase service.

My responses come only from personal experience.

I was just about to complain about this in another thread.  I is VERY annoying and there is of course no notice or warning.
I don't know how well known people have to be but this is very confusing and seems to be without sense unless based on information we have no knowledge of like sale numbers

I was listening to Taproot their latest album Our Long Road Home, I paused a song and went home, came back the next day unpaused listed to that song and another then it stopped, thought I had finished the album.  I went to change and saw the last three songs were with error so I tried again and got an error about content not available that I had never seen.  Turns out the album is now marked not available.  If I was on the fence about buying it they just made sure that I won't buy it anytime soon and I won't be buying it from the Zune Marketplace!

I also had Travis - Sing from the MTV Handpicked album... gone, its still around on the band's album (for now)
Thor De Force - Big City Abyss, I heard this song I think on the electronic channel a cycle or two back... they don't even Recognize Thor De Force as an artist now, biggest hit about this is I was moving it to my to purchase play list to add to my cart...

The Streets - Lets Push Things Forward, its still around but my play list will not link to the album now I had to refresh the link.


I've also found that there aren't a lot of electronic titles available and combine that with the fact that album only songs are off limits to the pass it becomes even less and I don't understand why that is so, If I can download and stream a full album anyway why would tagging a track album only stop it from being available.  Also free songs don't stream correctly you have to download them (at least before the update) or they only play the sample.


I'm just highly upset that this really good idea is going sour before my eyes

I was pretty preturbed at losing some music too. My Arcade Fire collection went Zap.

Wow, this is pretty pathetic. I've been a Zune subscriber since pretty much day 1. I'm pretty tired of this...literally 50+ artists with albums are no longer available. Ridiculous...

I've investigating Taproot's latest album + Travis's Sing album, but I can't find anything on allmusic.com or amazon.com to identify more information on 'Thor De Force' and a song called  "Big city Abyss" - I'm using these sources to see if there is an album selling elsewhere and label info for it. Let me know if you find it listed somewhere else.

For the linking for 'The Streets' - it's possilbe that the previously purchased album from the earlier service had an ID change for whatever reason, so from your catalog in the zune client, right-click and 'find album info' - usually this will link you back to the updated album we have on offer.
