Can I remove transcoded files folder?

Hi,

I have over 24GB of files in my "C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Zune\Transcoded Files" Cache folder.

What are they and can I safely delete them?

Thanks

Jamie

Yes, you can empty the folder (but don't delete it.)  Those files are the version of the content file that the zune software created to sync on to the device itself (optimized for the device...)
The software keeps them to save time.  If you delete them from the PC, it just means the software has to transcode them again if you ever re-sync those files..

You can set the size limitation, the location... and ever clear the conversion cache folder from 'settings... device... conversion settings'.
