Win7 Slow sync on Zune HD

I was syncing up my zune hd with music for the first time (after updating software and firmware) and noticed just as soon as it started to sync that it was slow, way slow.. I hope this problem is on the fix it list!! But after changing my settings in the Sync Options for the Music from "All" to "Manual Sync" my zune was loading up with information so much faster.. Any reason why changing the setting from all to manual sync would make computer or zune transfer music faster??

Usually the software does all sorts of housekeeping tasks when it's linked up to the device

for example, it checks and updates number of plays of songs. I'm assuming that it does a lot more when automatic syncing is set up
