I Need To Install The Zune Software On An Offline Computer
Offline, meaning no way of getting Internet access on it.

The only Zune 4.0 software I could find needs to access the Internet to install, and refuses to install anything without it, which is seriously messed up!!!

I can imagine many benefits in making the install need Internet access for computers that do have access, but that should NEVER be the only option, and if there is another option that SHOULD be easily found in the download area for those in need of it.

This stuff is a no-brainer.  How  can Microsoft be so lame as to not have basic crap like this by default?  I couldn't possibly be the  first person to bring it up to them either!

This is one of three posts I just made.  Each of them I should not have had to post anything, because they are all things that should have been easily found.  To require customers to ask for help on things that should be easily found is a horrible thing to do for any business, even if as big and established as Microsoft.

re: I Need To Install The Zune Software On An Offline Computer
You can download a giant "full kit" Zune package from Microsoft's download center here.  But be aware, you still may need Internet access if your system is very out of date on updates/patches.  And, of course, many of the features of the Zune software/ecosystem will not function without access.
