Settings won't stick...

I change my settings for specific podcasts and how they update, hit "ok", but the changes don't stick, they instantly revert back to their original settings.

example, i change a podcast to keep 5 broadcasts, i hit "ok", then check it again and it's back to 3.

any ideas?

Just one... you have some file corruption in the index database the software creates to keep track of your settings and collection.
Try unsuscribing from one of those podcasts. choose delete for the episodes. shut down and restart the zune software, and re-subscribe. If it works, do that for all of them. If not, run the media collection reset tool. (The tool will reset your collection index database back to it's initial state when you first ran the software- it will rescan and re-add everything...but your settings will all have to be reset, and you will have have to click subscribe on the software screen in the zune software for each of your podcasts...)

i`ve tried the media reset tool but it didn't work.
i`ll try the podcast unsubscribe resubscribe thing... only thing is with the recent update i can no longer see the marketplace - so i can`t find the podcasts easily to resubscribe. i guess because i`m canadian i am denied any access at all to the marketplace.

If the tool didn't work, don't bother trying the unsubscribe/resubscribe process- they do the same thing.

Something is blocking your software from making changes to the index file it creates and uses to manage your collection. Make sure you are running as an admin?
