Add Video to The Zune Pass. (Everyone who supports this, post here)

Alright, Now that the ZMP has video (Great Job MS!!) there is only one final step.
Add the new video content to the Zune Pass.

Reasons,

#1
I would cancel my Netflix Account if this where to happen.
#2
It would be the first of it's kind, Think about it. Every video service that is out there makes you chose between Affordability&Portability
iTunes has a massive library and ultra easy portability, But why would I pay $2.00 a show when I can watch that same show for free or close to free.

Here is what I am thinking, basically a Netflix watch instantly 2GO. I pay $14 a month for Netflix, (Same as Zune Pass) and I spend hours just jumping around the TV show collection. Watching shows that I would never watch otherwise.

I am sure that networks would be more than happy to get their piece of the revenue, Heck, even let them ad 15 second ads to the beginning of the Videos. I would not mind if, the price increase of the Zune Pass was held in check.

You already have the Network in place (Xbox Video Marketplace) it just needs a few tweaks to close the loop.

So Here is My Idea in a Nutshell,

Zune Pass Plus Video $24 a month
Unlimited downloads of all TV shows, Movies, Music Videos, Music and other content on the ZMP
Xbox-Zune Zune-Xbox
Social integration ( Just think of the possibility's)

Alright everyone, chime in and make sure they hear us.

Feel free to add your own ideas

Ryan

This would be a great idea and allow microsoft to show everyone that they are serious about becoming the digital distribution kings.

you should at least be able to download like 3 tv shows a month for free with a normal 15$ zune pass. id prefer it like this because every month 3 more shows without any added cost it would be nice.. in my opinion anyway

Yes i hear you.. but i choose not to understand what your saying. onewolfonecat.darkbb.com my forum

So a Zune Pass does not give you acess to the TV shows in the zune marketplace?
I support the Zune Pass giving acess to videos!

I agree, except that I think adding advertising (no matter how short) to the beginning of videos would deter people (it would also take up space on a device which, if you have a 4GB model, does not have a lot of it for video).

I would prefer an evern higher subscription price over an ad based model with an only slightly higher price, and I think the marketing would be better.

What I meant by ads is, Just one in the beginning of the clip. How much space can a 15 sec 240X320 video take up?

I think it would be awesome to have two different options, Ad supported and Ad-less.

I have to agree, a 15 or even 30 second ad is worth it if I can watch my favorite shows. I also would love to see movies added, I would cancel my netflix in an instant if I could download a movie and watch it for a reasonable price.

From what I've heard in this post, this is how the Zune Pass Should be tiered.

Zune Pass, $14
Full Access to the entire music catalog, ( MS need's to go knocking on Disney's door to get them to open up their catalog to the Zune Pass.)

Zune Pass Plus, Silver, Extra? $17-18
Full Access to the entire music catalog, Music Videos, TV Shows and Movies
TV Shows and Movies would come with a ONE 15-30 sec ad in the beginning of the content.

Zune Pass Premium, Gold, Ultra? $24
Full Access to the entire music catalog, Music Videos, TV Shows and Movies
No ads

What do you think?
