re: Sleep Mode?

What sleep mode are you referring to on the older Zunes?

Do you mean standby as opposed to being turned off?

Yes, there is a standby mode that if the HD is left on but not playing any media, it will turn go into standby.  However there is no sleep timer on the HD (nor has there ever been on any model Zune).

then yes there is a "sleep" function....like said before, if you have nothing playing it will turn off after1 minute (or however long you have your backlight on for) you can also just tap the power button and it will go into sleep mode.

No- that's screen lock mode.  If you're playing music, it will continue to play.

When you're not playing music and the screen is off it uses so little power that it might as well be a sleep mode.
