Shuffle doesn't shuffle...

i have over 5,000 songs on my 80
i like to select "songs" then "shuffle all"

for some reason:
- shuffle will sometimes play 2-3 songs off the same album in a row
- shuffle will sometimes play 2-3 songs from the same artist in a row
- shuffle will play the same song everytime i 'shuffle'
- some songs/albums play all the time, some songs/albums i have never heard

how can i get a totally random shuffle, without the same artists/albums
playing back to back or within close proximity to each other?

i even built a totally random playlist and shuffle that to no avail.

any ideas?

a totally random shuffle will in fact occasionally play back to back songs from one album or artist. (even 3 in a row...but that should be pretty darn rare.) But, it's extremely tough to generate totally random numbers or lists, etc. with a computer -including a zune. Your best bet is what you've already done it seems. Build a randomized playlist, then play that on shuffle mode.
