Installation Error C00D11CC (C00D2711)
Can somebody help me? My Zune software is able to load, except I am not able to play or download any songs. I get an error message that says: "An installation error has occurred. To continue, please reinstall the Zune software."

I have followed the steps on the help page:  http://www.zune.net/en-US/support/webhelp/C00D11CC.htm?&webhelp_mpver=3.1.620.0&webhelp_id=C00D11CC&webhelp_contextid=0&webhelp_originalid=C00D2711&webhelp_locale=en-US

Nothing is working... I have uninstalled everything multiple times and reinstalled it but nothing happens.. what should I do?

Hi, I would assume that the Operating System of your computer is a Windows Xp.

Here's what you need yo do;

1. Go to add or Remove program under Control Pannel

2. Delete/Remove the following;

Zune Software

Microsoft User Mode Driver Framework

Windows Media Player(it will be rolled back to previous version)

Windows Media Format 11 Runtime(it will be rolled back to previous version)

3. Go to C:\Program Files and make sure that there's no Zune folder existing, delete it if necessary.

4. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=1d224714-e238-4e45-8668-5166114010ca and download Windows Media Player 11 / Install it.

5. Download and Reinstall the Zune software

Issue should be resolved :-)

Thank you very much, tyrashantel.
I did exactly what you said, and it worked. I am very happy.
Anyone with that error code, who has the above problem, do it and it should work.
With mine, it would play on the computer after I upgraded to 4.0, but still wouldn't sync. Followed those steps and it worked. Now I can sync just fine.
Thank you. Now I'll be able to get music videos again. I might look for some old ones, and wait for new ones from Metro Station, ha ha.

re: Installation Error C00D11CC (C00D2711)

I deleted the zune software, microsoft user mode driver frameword, windows media player, but when i try to unistall windows media format 11 runtime it says zune requires it to run. And in the program files when i try to delete zune it says cannot delete access denied: make sure disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.
