Downloaded music will not play on the device

Can someone tell me why I can't get the music that was downloaded from the marketplace to sync on the device? it keeps saying the rights have expired and I need to update the account. What the hell do you do with this to update it?

to update you supposedly have to sign into your account through the software, preferably while your device is connected (I think)

try that first

the option to sign in should be at the upper right hand corner of the software UI

I had that same problem, tried updating it, but that didn't work either. So I found a way to bypass it. I opened the file location of the downloaded material, opened it with Windows Media Player, and added it to a playlist there. I then opened Zune and it was in my collection and was able to transfer it to my Zune. :) hope that helps!
