Hardawre Failure, upgrade to Zune HD???

I have a 30gb that is out of warranty and has a hardware issue. Microsoft offered me to replace it with a newer model (of my choice) for half of the MSRP. However, since the HD is coming out in two days I asked if I could get that one since that is the one i really want. He said that was not an option at this time but to go to the forums to see if could get enough support from other consumers. If they have enough demand, when you send in your broken old zune they should allow you to upgrade to the HD for around half off.

Who's with me?? Let's make this happen!

Nah.... I'd never go for half off.  I'd stop at 10% off...that's already too generous!
Surprise [:O]

I never heard of anything like this before either and was surprised, but here i am.

10% too generous?? I am a loyal Microsoft supporter and have always gone with them for everything: Gaming, Software, MP3. ect..

By recognizing that my device malfunctioned and offering a discount to a newer version of that product keeps me from changing competing companies (such as Apple for the lamers)

Absolutely, I have two 30gb Zune originals that are OOW and Bricked. I'd upgrade to an HD in an instant.
