One of my podcasts showing old entries

Has anyone else seen this? I have one of my podcasts showing some old entries from prior to the entries in the current RSS feed that I have. They are all marked as played and items I had downloaded at one time. Anyone know how to clean this up? I am getting tired of seeing them in my podcast's item list and would like them removed from the list. I have verified that the files are no longer on my hard drive and especially not in the podcasts folder.

Thanks for the help!

showing old entries where?  on the device?  if so, connect the device, click device then podcasts, then right click and delete those episodes.

I am having this problem ever since upgrading to the 4.0 software.  I'm running x64 if that matters.  It is like the podcast update behavior is broken - i have to manually delete played episodes from the device - they never go away automatically on the sync after they are played like they are supposed to.

Yeah, I have seen a handful or more of posters with this or very similar issues. To fix it the most painless way:  unsubscribe the podcast and choose delete for existing episodes.  shut down and restart the zune software, then resubscribe to that podcast.  This seems to work for most, but not all users.  If it fails, run the media collection reset tool (use the search box above to find this.) Unfortunately, the tool resets your local playcounts...so any autoplaylists that use those are also 'reset.'  Don't worry- your social playcounts are untouched.
