No Zune apps...

I stayed up all night for the new apps coming out, but they never did. Bummer. WHEN ARE THEY COMING OUT!!?!?!?

LOL you actually stayed up all night waiting for Zune apps? And why are people getting pissed over this. Microsoft never said anything about releasing apps today. It was just a rumor that was started by some random person. When that rumor turns out to be false then people want to get pissed at Microsoft. That's beyond rediculous.

Okay, I am not pissed at Microsoft, I never said I was. I just want the new apps to come out STAT. I  mean, so far, all my friends have iPhones. Every. Single. One of them. I have nothing to show them how great the Zune HD really is. Also, I want to play some of these apps for myself. I mean, I am a gamer, too. Anyhow, I here now they are coming out the seventeenth, true or not, I am hopefull.

unfortunately microsoft isnt one to put out hard evidence as to when ANYTHING is coming out. we know when the 360's dash is being updated, and it makes sense for the update to the zune to be released then also, but thats not for certain either. i say, be patient, and if nothing has happened by the 20th, then you have every reason in the world to be mad.

The 360's beta testing is not completed yet. So, when the 360 is done with it's update and its released to the public, then the Zune will quickly follow.

Patience is key to programming OP. If you rush a release just to shut people up, they will just complain about the bugs that could've been fixed with more time.

Sorta like how alot of the people on the forum are complaining about the lack of apps. Maybe the Zune HD was released to early...

Microsoft had every right to release the Zune HD when they did. The people who complain should have waited to get the ZHD instead of getting it the day it first came out. The Touch didnt have all those apps when it first came out. It didnt get all those apps over night. So I don't know why people automatically assumed that the ZHD would be loaded with hundreds of apps on launch day. Don't blame MS for that. They never said that it would be loaded with apps and games on launch day. Some want to complain b/c they spent X__ amount of money on the ZHD, when it's their own fault. They should have researched it before buying, instead of just assuming. You know what happens when you assume. I didn't get the ZHD when it first came out. I actually researched it. I wanted to know what exactly I was getting with the ZHD. I asked myself... "Do I want to buy it now? Or do I want to wait?" That's what I did. So don't blame Microsoft b/c some of yall bought the thing too early...and now don't have the patience to wait for the games, flash, and apps to arrive. Personally, I'm glad that MS is taking a while to develope these apps. I'd rather them take a while to make them and the apps be thought out and useful than them catering to the impatient people and the apps be bug-filled crap that was just thrown together in 5mins. If they did that, then these boards would be flooded with complaints like..."Man these apps suck. They're full of bugs. MS should have took their time in making them."

In general I agree - don't buy the hardware until the software you want is available. Still, it would help if MS released full APIs (including networking/internet) to third parties for development, and allowed them to sell in the Marketplace.Cool hardware attracts cool software, cool software sells more cool hardware. It really is simple. I say Liberate the Hardware! Liberate the Zune! 

I think my biggest problem is all the technical issues with the zune hd.  I dont know if anyone else has this problem but sometimes surfing the web the zune will just restart.  Slow the screen flickers when ever the browser is loading.  Sometimes the screen doesnt respond and it has to be restarted.  the thing has been out for about a month and a half and those issues still havent been fixed.  I dont want it to do everything that a ipod touch can do I want it to do everything that a zune hd can do.

Ease Up Guy, why does every one including yourself, feel an opinion is a personal attack on you and MS. I'm not MS bashing, remember I bought a ZuneHD too, and even though i would like to see more apps, I'm still happy with my purchase.  Raging  on my opinion does nothing to further any cause other that arguing just for the sake of arguing on an online forum, BTW thats not the type of *** i'm into. And don't take this as the start of a flame war, I just don't like having my quotes misconstrued and used in malice..

don't need 100,000 or even 1,000 - but definetly more than whats there. I am not a big app user myself, but I know others are and my use of the zune depends upon the long term viability of the Zune. Unfortunately, that IS tied to apps....
