Great & Easy way to get YOUTUBE videos onto Zune.
First off, This only works with firefox. If you don't have it, download it, because this is by far the quickest and easiest way to convert youtube videos to mp4, FLV, or 3gp. So, Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006 and click "Download Now" When it comes up... hit okay and all that junk.. Then i believe it will ask you to set the folder for where you want your youtube videos to be kept. Set it to the same folder that you have set in the zune software for videos. Then go to youtube, and under the description box it should say download as mp4, FLV or 3gp. Click the mp4 link, because its the best for zune. The download box will come up, and the video should be in the zune software. Enjoy!

Mozzila Firefox download:

Oh yeah!! Does anyone know when new apps for the marketplace are scheduled to be released??

Or you could simply download realplayer 11 which lets you download just about any video. I've tried on hulu but no luck.

Real Player is a pig of an application... and has tentacles all over the system.

The easiest, free-est, and most direct way to download videos from YouTube for playback on the Zune can be found here:

I use a program that Rips videos from youtube and puts it into an MP4 file that I can transfer to the ZuneHD. Being able to watch them without downloading them would be alot better though so it doesnt take up space.

I tried your method, works great, it's the same thing I used to do until youtube changed some of their code but easier. One problem, like my previous method, it doesn't work on all the videos. That's why I still use realplayer, even if I have to download and convert the videos. Also, realplayer works with other sites not just youtube. I haven't tried other sites but youtube but there really isn't a need to.

What we need is something that can download videos off of hulu. That's where all the good stuff is at.

Agreed - being able to access YouTube, Hulu, and Pandora on the HD would be nice.

re: Great & Easy way to get YOUTUBE videos onto Zune.
try the website keepvid.com

Just simply insert the url into the box and follow the instructions.  I've downloaded some music videos from there and the quality is good.  Don't know if hulu urls would work since I have not tried, but if anyone gives it a shot then let me know.

Hope this helps

I tried that and I could never get the videos onto my zune HD. I can't remember what the problem was I had with it. But now I use videora zune HD converter, which comes with a youtube downloader. You can use it to download videos, then convert them, and bam, high quality videos on the zune (assuming the video you downloaded was in HQ).

For some reason, when I tried to download the same video but in HD, the zune software could not detect it. I only download HQ because of that.
