I'm sure someone reported this, but I can't find it.  I'm getting a ton of emails every time I get a new badge.  For example, I just picked up two badges yesterday.  I received two emails, one for each badge.  Then I got 29 more, one for each badge since Zune 4.0 went live.  I get the same in my Zune inbox.

Okay - thanks. This isn't happening to everyone (like, definitely not to me - I've gotten I think 7 new badges since 4.0 shipped) - but I will ask the team that owns the notification code to look.

Just to keep record, I'm experiencing the same thing here regarding badge notifications.  I just got a batch of 8 emails / profile inbox notifications today that was a repeat from last week.

The exact same thing is happening to me also. In addition to the badge counts being totally different between the 4.0 software and the Social. Its all becoming very confusing.

-- When did you last receive the repeated notification for that badge?

What is the first badge you got notified about more than once?  I'm not sure.  The oldest in my most recent (11/8/2009) batch of inbox messages is Bronze Artist Public Enemy.  Based on my Zune wall, the badge was received on 10/25/2009.  In the previous batch (11/5/2009), the oldest is Bronze Album Buckcherry which is now too old for my Zune wall.

When did you last receive the repeated notification for that badge?  I did on 11/8/2009 at 3:19 PM Pacific.

In an interesting note, I picked up Bronze Album Warehouse: Songs & Stories this morning and haven't got the ton of messages and emails.  I'll post if I do.

I picked up Bronze Artist Tom Cochrane and Bronze Album Mad Mad World last night, 11/10 at 11:51 PM Pacific.  I got the swarm of emails and Zune messages at 3:16 AM today, a total of 27 in all.  The first received were the two Tom Cochrane badges, the rest are previous badges, the last Bronze Album Swoon which has rolled off my Zune wall so I can't check on the receipt time.  The second to oldest message I received, Silver Album Nirvana, is on my Zune wall as received 10/26 at 6:28 AM.
