Re: DJ Hero
not that i know of. it would need to track the beats of the songs on your zune to match the two songs together. and without master tracks like they get for the game there's certain audio they can leave out (like having only instrumental or only vocals) to make the songs sound better when mixed. The game supposedly has the best soundtrack for a music game to date as well as DLC already planned so you get a huge setlist for the game. If you want to create your own mixes and mash-ups the only way to do it is become a DJ... or use audio editing software like I do lol.

That's true, I forgot about multi-track formats. But I still don't see why it's impossible to simulate a turntable effects on digital audio using a faux turntable like the DJ Hero controller. I mean look at the band Guitar Zeros (They are not in the Marketplace.). I am not saying it's and easy task, nor wanting to mix the next big thing using the dj hero controller. I'm just curious of the possibilities.

ps. what software do you use to mix music

Re: re: Re: DJ Hero
I've used a couple programs here and there. Back in 2006 I was using Sony Acid Express or something like that but something weird was going on with the software after months of using it and it wouldn't really let me work with it after that. I tried using Audacity which is great for podcasts but really difficult for mash-ups, which is what I was doing at the time. Last year I was using a program my brother bough called Magix Music Maker which I still use today for making just normal music, but it worked pretty decently for mash-ups and even has a beat tracker on it to help you easily mix songs together. I don't really recommend that program though because I've had many problems with it. I'm not a professional DJ or anything, I was just trying out a project for fun. I don't make mash-ups anymore. Hopefully there are some DJs on here that can suggest better software but I suggest checking out what downloads CNET recommends.
