I need an email or phone number to contact Zune Service - a real person to talk to

I sent my Zune in for warrenty service 3 weeks ago.  I received an email telling me they've shipped it back to me but when I check the status on the UPS site it says "billing info has been received, scheduled for pickup".  This has been the status for over a week, surely MS ships out daily.  I called the service number on the Zune site and its a robo system, can't actually talk to anyone.

Does anyone have a email address or a phone number that goes to a real person?

BTW, they weren't able to fix my Zune, when I look up my account the device now has a new serial number.

HELP PLEASE!

1-877-GET-ZUNE (1-877-438-9863), and that's an actually number where you can speak to live customer support. I know because i've called it many time and spoke to them.

I had that number already but thank you for the post.  I called it again today and just waited for the robo to time out and it connected me to an operator.  Here's the deal:  I was notified on 10/21 that my Zune had shipped and was given a UPS tracking number.  The UPS status has been stuck on "Billing  Information has been Received" for over a week.  The girl at Zune explained that after being repaired at the service center it had to be sent to a distribution center for shipping and that takes 5-15 business days.

Are you kidding me?  Why notify the customer that their Zune has shipped if it isn't really shipping for another 15 days?  It only took 2 days to ship it to Microsoft and 3 days to repair/replace it but it takes 15 days to ship it back? If this is how Microsoft is run, it makes you wonder how Bill Gates made any money at all.

Man, I should have bought an iPod.

This "support" number does nothing more than give the automated response, "Sorry for the hassle, but we can't take your call right now. Please go to www.zune.net/support. Thanks for calling. Goodbye."

As I've said in another thread, this is a crock. I've tried the workarounds that other users have listed to get the software installed, I've tried the solutions that Microsoft themselves have sited. If they don't think enough of the people that purchase and use their products to give reliable support, then maybe it's time for me to give up the fight and go Apple.

Service has some serious issues.  Unit lasted a day before having to be shipped back.   4 days to get there.  10 days to have fixed, and after recieving an e-mail on 10-21 that it was fixed and shipped, it actually shipped on 10-31.  Customer support is capable of doing nothing more than reading the same UPS screen I can read, assuming a live person can actually be reached.

Good to know as I too just recently received an e-mail stating my Zune was being shipped.  My e-mail came on 10/30 so, I guess good to know I have to wait another 10-15 days to receive it back.

I'm starting to share that iPod sentiment.  *sigh*

Well, I got "my" Zune back yesterday.  Apparently the one I sent in was so messed up that they couldn't fix it.

Would you believe that as soon as I plugged it in I was told that it required an update?  The service center didn't even bother to send it back with the latest software.  It also came with Spanish as the default language and the "free" music and videos were all Hispanic in nature.

Good luck everyone.
