MY ZUNE IS STUCK..PLEASE HELP!!!

A few days ago I downloaded the zune 4.0 software and everything went well...that is until I plugged my zune into my AC adapter in my car.  At that point it just kept scrolling through the songs, and finally ended on 5-Contact Support.  I browsed the forums and was able to find out how to restore the zune.  I get to the screen that says 1-Connect Zune to your PC and then when it says to 2-restore the firmware, my Zune software either doesn't recognize that the zune is connected or says I don't have enough storage (I've tried it a thousand times)...Well then I read a post that says to delete everything off of my Zune and try to restore, but I can't get past that restore firmware screen and my software doesn't recognize the Zune so how do I delete?  I really don't have that much on my Zune so I don't care about erasing everything and starting over......I JUST WANT MY ZUNE TO WORK...can someone please help me?  I am so frustrated.........

not really...i am trying this thing that wipes it supposedly...and its been "clearing contents for almost a half an hour now so maybe it is doing that...i can only hope...i found how to do that under this.... http://forums.zune.net/231510/ShowPost.aspx  see if it will do any thing for you...i did the reboot and then hold the back and play/pause buttons.... im still looking around though to see if anyone knows..

fyi i just gave up and sent it back today...hopefully i either get a new one or a fixed one back soon!!!

just checking to see if you've heard or received anything by now.....I have decided to just send mine back as well.  I'm so disappointed.
