A sleep function for the HD
I use my Zune HD while falling asleep, and since I don't have my computer near my bed nor a wall charger, a sleep function would be nice.

Thoughts? (or am I missing something)

re: A sleep function for the HD

I think that this should be a no-brainer.  I currently have to use my iPhone to go to sleep since it has a sleep timer (and a tiny speaker and alarm).  The sleep timer couldn't be that hard to implement and up until the Zunepass, which overode this feature, this was a dealbreaker on any mp3 player I got.  I am sure that I wasn't the only one.

Please add a SLEEP TIMER.

This is purely a guess.  The Zune team has a hidden agreement with Kicker that they will not add the sleep timer, therefore forcing the consumer to purchase a Kicker speaker dock system, which has a sleep timer function built in.  Every Kicker dock that they sell, they give kickbacks to Microsoft.  And you thought the Kicker name was because of their "awesome" sound!

Build playlists of set lengths....the 1st & 2nd gen zunes will shut down (to sleep mode) roughly 5 minutes after the playlist finishes.  Same is true for podcasts (except you don't need to create the playlists.) I haven't tried it on an HD, but I'd be surprised if they didn't exhibit 'time-out' similar behavior.

Except that playlists don't work for radio or audiobooks/podcasts.
