Error Code C00D1197
This is my first month being subscribed to the Zune Pass, and all has been going well. Till now.

I decided to download "Fragile (expanded remastered)" by Yes, and I realized i had 1200 points to spare, with 8 credits on an 11 song album. So I started to download, and use my credits.

They acted like they were downloading, finished like supposed to, then I got the error. It's like a broken pop machine eating your money :P I downloaded the first four (using credits with both) and all of them had the error.

Anyone know how to fix? I'd like either my songs (and the ability to get the rest of the album without it messing up) or my credits back. (or both?! :P)

Thank you
-Dilpickle1

PS: Hopefully I got this in the right section.

P.P.S: Zune 4.0 software, of course. Windows 7, If it matters.

Epic Update 1: Thought maybe it would be the song, but its not. I tried the 1972 version of Fragile and it did it again. Lost another credit. I want a fix and my credits back. This has not always been a problem, why start now?

First, I read your blog post (link) and still have a few questions. Considering the C00D1197 error could be related to a missing file (link1, link2, link3)  I take it the files never made it to your pc? In Marketplace>downloads, do you remember if the button next to the album name said "In Collection?" Have you goin into settings>account>purchased content, and checked your purchased music area and tried to redownload the files? Did the files even show up as 'purchased?' Also have you tried to look in your subscription folder to see if the songs are sitting there?

If thats not the case and they're not on your PC somewhere then there's probably somethng wrong with the tracks in the marketplace. Can you stream these tracks in the marketplace?

Hey Neville, Thanks for replying.

When I downloaded the files (each song at a time), they acted like they were downloading, then once it finished, the "download" link was still there and i had the yellow (!) next to the songs. I can steam every one of the songs that i tried to get both from the software and the web.

In Settings > account > purchased, the songs that i tried to purchase has "buy" beside them.

The songs are also NOT on my computer, but the Artist and Album folders are there (for me its e:/my music/zune/yes/fragile) but there are no actual songs in it.

I had the same problem with John Mayer Free Fallin' in my account under purchased items there is a button that says buy, but it it already purchased? it isn't in my collection and wasn't downloaded and the same yellow (!) came up. is there any way I can get my points back?!
Oh, it just happened again with another song Welcome Home by Coheed and Cambria. If I don't get my points back I should just send my zune back because its a waste of money! Whats going on!?

I tried to download three different songs and all three gave me that same error code. Three different artist on three different albums. Either this marketplace hass a bunch of bad songs or some technically wrong. I checked my zune folder in music, the floder for the artist are there but the music is not in them.

I started getting this error message yesterday (11/17) and it is still happening this morning.  I cannot download any songs (tried several different albums/artists).  There is 24GB free on the drive, all the other subscription content already downloaded works fine, signed out/back in several times, etc.  What's the deal here?  Store broken?  Sad [:(]

Well, the fix was simple, but not documented anywhere that I could find.  I simply closed the zune client, killed zunelauncher.exe (prob. that wasn't necessary or helpful), and restarted the zune client and now everything is working.

I've been having the same problem.  I called support and the best thing they could do was give me my points back.  Although that is a nice gesture you can't ever download that song again even if you are willing to pay for it.  I am using Windows 7 as well.  My brother who doesn't have the problem is on Vista.  So i'm wondering if it is a 7 problem.  Hopefully Microsoft knows about the problem and is working on a fix
