Why I will wait to get the 64gb version!

1. By the time it comes out all of the bugs will have been fixed

2. I have 9,000 songs all stored in as high a quality rate as I can get.  I don't want to lose any of my tunes.

3. There will be more apps - not really important - but an issue

4. There will be more HD movies - and the list grows every day.

re: Why I will wait to get the 64gb version!

Okay. Why I didn't wait:

1. From what I was reading there weren't any bugs that would affect me. That has proven to be the case.

2. I like changing what I have on the device and utilize playlists etc to enable that. I also have a good selection of movies on the device and they only take a short time to swap out. I haven't lost any tunes because they are on my computer.

3. Not sure I would use any apps, but if any anything useful comes along I might be interested.

4. The Marketplace movies are over priced and there are other sources for things like that.

5. It looked like lots of fun to use and so far it has been!

I agree with everyone of your comments.  if you have cheap sources for compatable movies please share.

So far all the movies I've copied to my Zune have come from either my DVD collection or from what I've recorded via digital cable on my computer. I don't connect my Zune to my TV, so I haven't tried that functionality. I just watch cable movies, DVDs or Blu-Rays on the TV.

re: Why I will wait to get the 64gb version!
I have been trying to decide whether to get a 32 gig now or not. I currently use an 80gig zune.

I have heard that they may not release a larger size. But even if they do, how many years down the road will that be? next year? 5 years? never (of course meaning that the next zune will be more like zune3)?

If I were to get a zune hd now and not wait, I would have to leave off a considerable ammount of music or videos. But I really do want one.

Does anyone have any proof that (like earlier poster said) a 64 gig is coming? 64 would suffice me, but a 32 just doesn't (unless like I said I leave some things off, completely doable, I'll just remove things I rarely listen too.)

I need more information on whether larger sizes may come and when to help me decide if I should get one now or wait.

Microsoft has not anounced a bigger size yet.  I have the Zune HD 32 but kept my Zune 120.  My main issues with the HD 32 is the random lock ups, freezes, & not count all your music plays.

Responses:
1. That is not a given.  There are quite a few bugs with the non-HD devices that still have not been fixed.
2. That doesn't make any sense.
3. Given the limitations of the device, I doubt that you will need the extra space beyond the current 32 GB model to store apps.
4. There are already plenty of HD movies available... just not from the Zune Marketplace

There is no guarantee that there will be a 64GB HD model so you might be waiting a very long time for that mythical 64GB player.  I have a Zune 80 and 16GB HD.   By using regular playlists, autoplaylists, and SmartDJ playlists, I manage to have the music that I most likely want to listen to on the HD... and still have plenty of room for full-length movies, TV shows, and video podcasts.

My media collection is so large that not even a 500GB player could hold HALF of it.  So I've long given up the "I gotta have my entire collection with me at all times" mentality that is a holdover from the early iPod days.

re: Why I will wait to get the 64gb version!
My media collection is ridiculously huge. I'd need a terabyte Zune to hold it all. (Large 1:1 DVD collection) So for me it's cool to pick and choose what I'm in the mood for or enjoy the most. I got very game and app heavy on the iPod Touch. I'd like to do the same on ZHD! (cmon MS)
