Add Zune 16 and Zune HDs as trade-in Options

Upon trying to service my brother's Zune 80 I called Zune Support to realize that Zune offered a device trade-in program. When I asked about the cost associated with trading up to a Zune 16 or Zune HD, the support representative told me neither option was currently available. He told me I could pick from the 4, 8, 80, and 120, all at different costs. He recommended I visit the forums and post a request asking that the Zune 16 and Zune HD models be included in the program. I found a couple posts talking about the program (link1, link2), but nothing in the wishlist threads. Here's that request (pretty please). Who else would love to be able to trade-in their previos generation Zune and purchase a Zune HD at a discounted price?

I would LOVE to be able to trade in my Zune 120, for a discounted Zune HD. Sign me up!

Interesting.. I never knew there was an upgrade option.
I wonder what the cost to trade up to a 120 gig would be. I currently have a 80 gig and it is full.

I'd love a Zune HD, but 16 or 32 gigs is not big enough. Its the same reason I don't use my iPhone to listen to music. Though I may put a few songs on it to have some on there.

I agree with Solar! My wife and I have a Zune 16 and Zune 30 and I would love to be able to trade up to Zune HDs!

I've got a Zune 16 and would love to be able to trade up to a Zune HD. Please, please add this as an option! (if not for me, for all the other Zune faithful over the years, too)

As a side note, the Zune HD really needs quite a bit of additional capacity, before I could consider dropping my Zune 80 for one. Besides, if we're really putting much HD content on a Zune HD, 32 GB is not going to hold much of a library...

I would love to see this. A discount would really be appreciated and would probably go a long way with maintaining a loyal user base. MS has been great about supporting older Zunes, but now that they are getting left behind for the HD I think an upgrade offer really makes sense. You don't see apple offering a trade in program.

I have a Zune 30 that I've owned for almost 3 years that just died last week (battery problem). If I upgrade, it will only be for a Zune HD. A discount would really give me a nice incentive to purchase a new Zune HD.

Please make it happen MS. The Zune HD doesn't have much of a price advantage over the Touch.

This would be a great idea. My boyfriend and I both have older Zunes. If a trade in program for the Zune HD came out before Christmas I know two people who would be getting new Zunes in their stockings. Please do it Zune Team. And throw in a Zune HD 64 before the holidays as well if you could :-)

I agree. I've looked at the new HDs and they look like fun. With our economy the way it is now, adding them to the trade-up program would be terrific and more affordable to regular Zune users.

This is a no brainer! Please Please do this it will be the only way I am able to afford a zune hd this year and I really want one.

My 3 year old second generation Zune 80 died a month ago (don't know what is wrong with it). I would dearly love to upgrade to the Zune HD. A discount would really make this bearable expenditure and I just LOVE the new Zune HD.
