Question to the Ladies and to those dudes who listen to R&B.
I feel like im one and a million..either some of da hommies hide their R&B jams they listen to who i know in real life or i just don't know. Don't get me wrong i dig rap but only a handful. Jay-z,Lupe,B.I.G,Nas, and Big L. But like 80% of the time i bump R&B or R&b soul.. imma straight dude...but why MOST niggas who dont listen to hardcore rap get looked at different? How do you most of your females feel about dudes listening to if not same but more R&B than you do?

Sorry, I do realize that you must be no older than 17 or 18 years old but to whom are you referring to as niggas. You do realize this is the most offensive of racial slur. Even when used by those it was intended to offend.

If you mean it to make a point about young music listeners. Some who only know one kind of music. These people by definition are ignorant music listeners and you should not base your taste in music on what they think.

Music appreciation is not now nor has ever been based on gender. Do you honestly think that if you like something besides rap that you are somehow gay? I don't mean to sound ugly but you got problems.

I'm sorry, maybe you are in prison. That would explain some things.

17 or 18? Please...take your BS somewhere else.I'm 24. You must can not read right because i DO NOT BASE MY TASTE ON WHAT OTHERS LIKE. That's what this whole post is about. Just like Jay-z said. We took the powerful meaning outta the word ***. If you can't see thru that, then maybe your the ignorant one.

I don't pretend to know what you base your musical tastes on. I just know what you should not base them on .Jay-z or no one else can take any powerful meaning out of hate speech. Just because you use it as if it has no power. Doesn't mean it has no power. It had much power to me when I read it in your post. Maybe you should watch your language in mixed company. Thats what mature people do. As far as your musical tastes, maybe I should have put it this way. Be happy that you feel like one in a million. You listen to what you like not what the crowd says you should like. That is what will keep you a music lover as you get older and music means even more to you. I'm pretty sure I did not call you ignorant either.

IDK about 80% of the time but I enjoy some R&B (about 15%)...  and I kinda do look at you different now lol

and you need to stop believing everything Jay-Z says and start respecting your elders... (instead of replying... you should've just let it go)

First off..i didnt say i believe in what Jay-z says, and thats my reason.I said he said it BEST. Second of all, i don't show anyone or my so called "elders" no respect if they don't show some to me. This confo had notthing to do with you, your not even black. It's like me telling you about your culture, mexican or whatever you are.

Okay as a female who is commenting to shed some light to a male or males wondering here, I think that when guys listen to more R&b than Rap it tells me that they are proper and correct dudes.  They symbolize success, cause dudes into too much rap in *insert Memphis 10 here* are like synonyms for epic fail.  And there are plenty of those dudes.  Its okay for some rap but constantly on rap is >.<
And there you sorta have it I hope.

re: Question to the Ladies and to those dudes who listen to R&B.

Ok I am a dude, who listens to R&B....I grew up on old school R&B, before rap (which I don't listen to) became mainstream. I grew up on Earth, Wind & Fire, Commodores, Bar-Kays, Lakeside, Sun, Parliament/Funkadelic......I am much older than the original poster but I still listen to this great music which laid the foundation for todays R&B. But I must say I am a hard rocker too, just check my profile......But E,W&F is right up there.....I have seen them 6 times live.

I am proud that my music background started with R&B....I mean get the lady in the room and hit the play button on EW&F's "Reasons"....the clothing falls right off...... Its awesome!!!

Big Smile [:D]
