"help me fall asleep" music

i have the Zune Pass, so recommend away.

looking for mellow music, nothing too heavy to listen to while i drift into dreamland.

dr jeffery d thompson-delta sleep system

this guy studies brain wave patterns and has recorded specific sounds and strategically placed them to music to help induce various states of relaxation. he has many albums and their all available thru zune.

Meshuggah.

But seriously, I've used some of Robert Fripp's soundscapes to fall asleep.  They're very calming.  Not sure if there are any on the marketplace though, as he seems fairly picky about how and where his music is distributed.

Things are not as bad as they seem. They are worse than that. They are also better than that.

haha that's funny I can fall asleep to meshuggah!  Me personally I always fall asleep listening to music, so if I like it I will fall asleep to it, lately though I've been using Genesis' music from the 70's when Peter Gabriel was the lead singer for the band, or Kate Bush, but that's just me though! lol

I love the lamb lies down on broadway, it is good sleep music. I also used to fall asleep listening to a trick of the tail too.

The whole album "Goodbye" by Ulrich Schnauss is seriously the best falling asleep music, and yet is still great for listening to normally as well... it's ambient electronica stuff but with great melodies and proper songs (no endless identical loops for 10 minutes)

Band Of Horses always relaxes me when I'm trying to sleep.

Tangerine Dream's albums "Rubycon" or "Phaedra" would probably work really well.  They're some of the pioneering electronic music, very ambient/calming.
