re: Latest Firmware Playback Issues.

Ok, so I've updated to the latest firmware, (4 right?) and now when I play songs that I bought through iTunes on my device I have problems. Say the album has 3+ songs, it'll play the first, then the second song, but it won't show that it has changed to the next song. So the first song's title is still there, and the countdown on the right side will be at 0.00 and the time will keep adding to the counter on the left. Then when the second song has finished everything will continue except it goes silent and the third song won't start in the same manner. It doesn't have any problems if the device is shuffling. It's a Zune 80. Any help would be appreciated.

Did the song play before 4.0?

Look in setting to see if all format of song is check

Firmware 3.2 (35) actually. Only Zune HD's have v4.x firmware.

Try erasing the Zune by initializing the disc, reinstalling the firmware and then adding your songs back.

Yes, it used to work on my device before the update.

And when I updated I wiped it to start clean and new.

That doesn't mean that it didn't still mess things up, trust me.

If you don't want to completely wipe everything then use the 'Add Games' option from inside the Zune Software, and report back :)

I would try to drain the battery to do a reboot. Let the radio play and turn on the screen light on all the time in setting. Then let it died died and plug it back in to see what happen. If you what to you can reformat it and try freash. but let it find it self. Also just put on the three song to see if that plays. I been fighting mine and it is working good.

I did the drain and it seems to be working properly now. Hopefully it stays that way. Thanks guys! :)

I would do the drain one more but not format. Just drain it and set it seat for a hour then recharge it.

I was having the same play back issues.  I tried taking the songs off and putting them back on the device.  Finally I tried to reinitialize the device but I am getting this error:
