Digital copy movie playback
Why on earth does this not work?  If I buy a Blu-Ray that comes with a digital copy of something, and that digital copy works in Windows Media Player, there should be no reason that I can't sync it up with my Zune.  This is incredibly frustrating.  As I just found out today, when I tried to put my digital copy of WALL*E on my ZHD, it doesn't even see it.  The copy is labeled as being playable on Windows Media Player and Windows Plays for Sure devices; why doesn't the ZHD support this?  It's all Microsoft, and it's all WMP based.

One of the reasons I bought this device was so that I could listen to/watch my media collection while traveling.  I'm incredibly disappointed to find out that my perfectly legal, store bought copies of movies actually can't be put on my ZHD, yet they CAN be put on an ipod through itunes.

What gives?  Why doesn't this work?  Will it in the future?

This needs some fixin'; by doing this, Microsoft is actually encouraging piracy, since the legal versions are useless, despite including full and portable digital versions of the movie.  C'mon, guys.

Thanks.

re: Digital copy movie playback
I wholeheartedly agree.  I bought Dark Knight, Watchmen, Yes Man, and several other movies with digital copies, specifically because they had digital copies (I like supporting good movies).  I expected them to work on the Zune, and yet, here they are, sitting on my computer, while Zune 4.0 tells me "invalid media format."

Please issue some kind of fix or update so I can finally use my legally purchased digital copies of movies.  I want to be fully legal here, and this does not encourage us to do so by cutting out on legal movies like this.

Any word from Microsoft would be appreciated on this.

James

Yeah this is an issue that they have to stop ignoring and just make it work already.  It seems to be a licence issure between Media Player and the Zune Software maybe they just need to enable the Zune to recognize Media Player Licenced Content.  This can't be hard to do.
