It charged me but didn't download!
I was going to download a new song, and i clicked BUY, and when i looked back later, after noticing the song didn't appear in my collection, there was one of those yellow !s right next to it. When i clicked it it said something about my anti-virus not working properly. Which it is. When i tried to download it again, i noticed that the points had been deducted from my account anyways. And if i tried to download it again it says: You're exhausted the number of times you can restore this item.

WTF?

Microsoft just robbed me.

Contact Zune Support via phone; they are the only folks that can address problems with purchases.

Agreed, you'll probably have to call MS, but you could try the solution that worked for me here.

hmm, i looked in the artists folder, and there was a folder for the album, but there was no file in it. I'm not really familiar with how hidden files work though. How would i find it if it was hidden?

and if its not there is there really nothing i can do?

Open the Control Panel, then Folder Options. Go to the View tab, and check the box that says "Show Hidden Files and Folders". Try that, if you need more help let me know!

Yeah, that's the issue I ran into, but that was with the 3.0 software, they seem to have resolved it in 4.0, so you can if nothing else purchase it again.

re: Error: C0D1197 CAN'T DOWNLOAD

I am getting this error when downloading from the Zune Marketplace. It started yesterday and was happening for a while, then seemed to be resolved but now the problem is back.

When I download a song, it starts to download, gets to 100%, then instead of being marked as "In Collection" it goes back to "Download" and has the yellow exclamation mark next to it. And the song is not downloaded to my collection at all. The full text of the error is:

CAN'T DOWNLOAD

It might have been moved, renamed, deleted, or removed from Zune Marketplace. If it's on an external hard drive, make sure the drive is connected and then try again.

ERROR CODE

C0D1197

(80070002)

FYI, I'm not downloading to an external hard drive, and I haven't moved, renamed, or deleted the song since it won't even download it.

same thing happened to me today?
