8gb space issue, PLEASE HELP!!!
alright so the main problem here is that i own an 8gb version (which is supposed to hold up to 2000 songs, 24hrs video etc.) but i have exactly 732 songs, 28min of video, and 32 pics but for some reason it keeps telling me "not enough space." I have triple checked to see if mine is an 8gb and it is. AND THATS NOT ALL because i tried to fix it by going to settings > device > reserved space and messed around with it for a while when suddenly, it starts deleting alot of my songs. i managed stop it and found out IT DELETED ALMOST HALF MY ENTIRE SONGS!!! (and me, bieng my ignorent and stupid self, never had the time to copy my device to my collection so i lost every bit of it forever)                     :-(            :-(          :-(          Can somebody please help me??? im desperate!!

The specs are for 128Kbps bit rates and for 4 minute songs...bump that up to 256Kbps and you chop it in half...  that could be (part of?) your issue.
Reserved space also contains games (if you installed them) and device firmware...but shouldn't be more than a few hundred megabytes...
Playing with reserved space settings doesn't cause it delete stuff though...you can drop the allocation setting but it won't  actually go below what it needs...  are you sure you didn't also play with your sync settings?

yesh, actually i did recall messin with my sync settings, but thx for the kbps tip, managed to free up some space.
