Error code: 0x80070643 (fixed)

WOW, this is annoying. I, like so many others, need some help. I can't seem to get the Zune update to install. I tried to uninstall it and it said that the Zune package couldn't uninstall, I tried to install and it said the same thing, minus the "un" prefix. I've gone through as many tutorials as i found and my brain is breaking in half over this. Long story short: Someone please help me.

I have the same issue, and have found no solution. Uninstall fails, Install fails, and there's no alternatives.

Same error here too and nothing works! I've spent countless hours to find a solution and nada! Hopefully Microsoft will come out with something to fix this before I decide to sell my Zune! I think they goofed on this update...

Microsoft is really pissing me off! Why release an update with so many bugs in it? DAMN this is infuriating

Hey guys, got it working. Had to make a new user account as an administrator on my computer and then uninstall it. Try to re-install it afterwards and it should work. I don't know why I had to make a new user account to get it to work but whatever.

It works now and I'm actually considering getting a new Zune HD since my 3-year-old 4GB is starting to screw up on me. Anyway Try my solution and if it works, celebrate. if not, hate microsoft for years to come.
