Strange. still on 3.1...
Ive heard that the latest firmware for older devices is 3.2, but even with 4.0 software installed when checking my Zune 80 device-it says that my device already has latest firmware ( 3.1 (50) )... What th...?

Mine did that. What I did to fix it was to download the Zune firmware package and install the zune-firmware.msi file (in the x86 or x64) folder of the package. I then restarted the Bits (Background Intelligent Transfer Service) from services.msc and it fixed the problem.

Force check for update. Click the button? I know mines got 3.2. How bout installing the games if avail. That has to download firmware I think.

I didn't even think that was a service used. when I did it I looked for the plug and play services and the zune services to force them to restart.
