Zune HD apps (games) for direct download...
Hey guys I just have a question about making apps / games available on the apps section of the zune marketplace. 1) how much does it cost a person to put apps up there? also how would one go about putting an app up on there as well?

It's not possible. Microsoft isn't opening the Apps section of the Marketplace up to developers right now, though that might change in the future.

Me too.  I'd love to see someone use the XNA to develop odd apps like a Level to see if your picture is hanging correctly or anything interesting like that.

Let's just keep the farting ones off tho and no shaking baby apps.  :)

My Zune 30 is not only still having a good run, but it's now grown up into a Zune 60 running for twice as long of a run..

To find out how to install custom apps on your zune (until microsoft opens the app store) just go to http://www.zhdapps.com , click on Tutorials at the top, then on the side click Installing Games/Apps.  Once you get it set up initially, loading games is easier than iTunes even.

hey i just recently bought a zune hd and the app store is horrible... i heard that you could download apps off of the xna site.  i was just wondering if when you downloaded a game onto your zune does it void your waranty or is xna part of zune??? please reply. and if anyone knows when the actual zune network is coming out with more apps that'd be great. thanks.  : )

Tman: That will not void your warranty, since you are not braking open your zuneHD in order to get the games / apps on your Zune. HOWEVER, you will need to download XNA as well as visual basic in order to go through some complex step;s in order to get it on your zune. (It's not an easy task but there are tutorials.)

And never fear guys! If any of you pay attention to Engadget like I do, then you know about what I'm talking about! If not then see the link after the brake. On October 22nd the same day that Windows 7 was released, Engadget had their 2nd show, and of course their main guest was the big man himself: Microsoft's CEO Steve Ballmer. In which he distinctly said that when Windows Mobile 7 comes out, it will coincide with a Zune / Windows Mobile Marketplace merger. IE, Zune's app marketplace and the windows mobile marketplace will become 1 entity which means MANY more apps. The only question now is when will Windows Mobile 7 come out? Hopefully before the end of the year if not right after new years.

Here is the show:

thanks shukero.  and one more question... do any of the games on xna have virus's encoded in them (or something of that nature), or does xna not allow game designers to do that??? cause i really dont want to download a game with a virus on it.
