I'm looking for new bands
The bands that are my taste are:
The killers*
Queen*
My chemical romance*
pink floyd*
rhcp
u2
radio head*
coldplay*
dash Board CONFESSIONAL
incubus*
GNR*
kings of leon*
led zeppelin*
linkin park
paramore
muse*

1st rule- the band  must be fairly popular and still be together today
2nd rule- the band must have relesed a album from 2007 to 2009 or have a new album in the works
3rd  rule they must fairly young, nothing past 36 (nothing against older bands, its just that those bands seem to be on the verge of breaking up or quitting).

re: I'm looking for new bands

Click Marketplace, then click Channels, and then look for a channel called Rock Picks Just For You.

Zune takes what you've listened to, compares it to people that listen to what you listen to, and recommends songs that those people listen to, on top of what you listen to. You can subscribe to this, and it auto-updates.

If that's a bit confusing, let's say you listen to Muse. Zune knows that you listen to Muse, and it looks for other people that listen to Muse. Zune then looks at the other people that listen to Muse, looks at what else they listen to, and recommends that to you. Like someone who listens to Muse and Paramore, Zune takes the Paramore songs they listen to the most, and tells you to listen to them.

Hope it helps.

re: I'm looking for new bands
Ok I have 2 suggestions for you. My first is "The Used". They are still together and just released a album this month and are very popular. My other suggestion breaks a couple of your rules kinda. There name is "From First To Last". They have had 3 different singers, the best being Sonny Moore. He sings on the albums called "Heroine" and "Dear Diary". These albums are great and are fairly new, being that one was released in 2004, and the other in 2006. Their first album was released in 2003 called "Aesthetic". The singer in that one is different and is no longer with the band. I'll give you the story so its not as confusing. In 2003 after Aesthetic was released with singer Phillip Reardon, Phillip decided to leave the band. Then Sonny Moore joined as the new vocalist (the best one). Matt Good (the guitar player) was going to swtich to vocals and Sonny was going to join as guitarist but when they heard him sing they made him vocals. With Sonny they released 2 full lenght albums (Heroine, Dear Dairy). Sonny had to get surgery on his voice forcing him to leave. Now guitarist Matt Good who was going to sing before Sonny joined is the singer. They released a s/t album in 2008 and are working on another as we speak. I do like the new stuff with singer Matt Good, but Heroine and Dear Diary are the best.

Sounds like you've got pretty diverse rockin' musical tastes. In fact, you like a lot of the same bands I do. Hmm... your rules make things fairly complicated though. All right, how about Weezer? Those dudes are wicked awesome and just released the Red Album last year. They're probably the coolest nerds on the planet with some truly powerful songs.

re: I'm looking for new bands
Wolfmother just put out a new album, haven't heard it yet but the first one which is a couple years old now is kickass and by your taste's I think would be right up your alley, fairly popular, not that old, but sound old like led zeppelin on purpose.
Also I recommend Blackfield and their album Blackfield II, great great stuff.  One of the two main members of this band is also in another band which just released a new album the incident the band is Porcupine Tree, imo one of the few truly great underappreciated bands out there, but they are fairly well known.

There's only one band on that lst of yours that i listen to. Led Zeppelin. But some bands you might like are Nirvana, Black Sabath, and John Frusciante. (John Frusciante is the guitarist of the chili peppers and his solo work is amazing.
