Emulatoion for Zune HD?

1) With the power of the Nvidia Tegra chip running it what will be the extent of the Zune HD in terms of what console it could possibly run?

2) Is emulation possible on the Zune HD, period?

3) If so can emulators be created via apps? I think the Itouch has a GBA and PSOne emulator for it but I'm not sure, need someone to confirm this.

4) Could already exsisting emulators be ported along to the ZHD? (ones that are open source only of course)

5) Coul open source games such as Doom, Quake etc also be ported to the ZHD or as games from Zune Marketplace?

re: Emulatoion for Zune HD?
Sorry it wouldn't happen.  It might have some of the games available on the xbox arcade....but that's a maybe.

And since users aren't allowed to develop their own apps, that means there will never even be a chance of a emulator being made.

GBA is owned by nintendo a competitor to Microsoft.

PSone is owned by playstation a competitor to Micorosoft.

It'll just never happen.

As for the rest, Doom, Quake, i don't know about those.  I think Doom is on the Xbox so there might be a chance it'll make it over to the zune.

re: Emulatoion for Zune HD?

well first off i read somewhere (im not sure ive been lookin for info on the xna ZuneHD thing for a loooong time)

but i read that it DOES or WILL support xna which is what the original zune games were made on

but anyway Microsoft will NOT make an emulator u think them getting sued 1.3 billion last year was bad? wait until they do this that is copyright infringement or making copyright infringment easy to the users so no they wont ever do anything like that

I know this thread is almost 2 months old, but I wanted to clear some things up.

Emulation on the Zune HD is entirely possible. Apps can be distributed independently of Microsoft, and Microsoft cannot be held accountable for applications developed by third-parties.

If someone ports a console emulation core (NES would be easiest to start with) to C# and OpenGL 1.1 and writes an interface in XNA, it would work.
